The angel cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, America the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. ^[3] For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. ^[4] And I John, heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. ^[5] For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

I see how much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow I will give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and I see no poverty or sin. ^[8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for it is the great I AM who judges her. ^[10] Alas, alas, great America, you once mighty nation! for in one hour is your judgment come. ^[11] And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over you; for no man buys your merchandise any more,” Revelation 18:2-5,7-8,10-11.

It is far worse to be addicted to luxury than alcohol. Alcohol grabs hold of the mind and body, but luxury grabs your heart! The desire for the American Dream has imprisoned more former followers, than all alcohol and drugs combined. Millions no longer follow Me, because they refuse to leave their pursuit of the American Dream. In order to kill the pain of conviction, they become religious, fulfilling duties that give the appearance of following Me. Never did I say, that the American Dream was part of following Me. I said, “he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God,” Luke 12:21.

Everyone that follows Me is told to not, “lay up for themselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: ^[20] But lay up for themselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal,” Matthew 6:19-20.

Some of you have chosen luxury, over obedience and doing exactly what I called you to do! Christian friends, have encouraged you, by calling the treasures of this earth, and material things, My favor and blessing. If this be the case, why would I say, to rid yourself of earthly treasures. It is time for My people to sober up and, “set their affections on things above, not on things on the earth,” Colossians 3:2. Because My callings are without repentance, you still have time to, “sell all that you have, and distribute unto the poor, and then you will have treasure in heaven: and there is still time left to follow Me,” Luke 18:22.

Jim Hammerle (1941-2017) began ministry working with David Wilkerson and Nicky Cruz, founding Teen Challenge Philadelphia. 6 times in the mission field pastoring a mission ship, 15 years with tv and radio, teaching, and preaching.  As a retired businessman, Jim helped to feed widows and orphans in Uganda, helping Muslims find the Jesus who fed them. He became His banker and was privileged to give His money away, wherever He decided, so he also helping to build an orphanage in Haiti and investing in lives in the USA. Totally in love with his Lord, at age 73 he served in ministry at Victory Christian Church and lived every hour listening for his Heavenly Father’s voice.  Jim passed away on May 23, 2017 to be with the LORD.
