THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 12/31/12:
I am coming to you in greater measure and clarity than you have ever experienced, says the Lord. I will come to you in night visions. I will come to you in dreams. I will come to you in daytime visions. I will come to you when you are praying. I will come to you when you are meditating on My word. And, I will begin to reveal to you the hidden mysteries that have been saved for this time. I have some things to teach you and to show you. Get ready, for My work is about to be demonstrated in you, says the Most Holy. Watch! Learn! Listen! Obey! For, you shall be well pleased with the demonstration of My power that comes flowing into your life like a mighty rushing river; like a wind that is blowing through the tops of the trees. Listen for My voice, for My truth will set you free.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/31/12:
What’s done is done. You can’t change the past, but you can make a decision to let go of all that will hinder your walk of faith. Establish yourself in strong faith through hearing the Word. Take one step at a time without projecting into the future. Otherwise, you could get overwhelmed, says the Lord. Move forward with renewed hope.
Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS –12/28/12:
Silence your flesh and speak only truth and life to yourself and others, says the Lord. It is important that you not give the devil access to your words. Make your thoughts a sanctuary, a place of protection and safety from evil. Make no provision for the lust of the flesh.
Zechariah 2:13 “Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/27/12:
I have called to you to quiet your soul and keep your emotions under control. Yet, you still allow disappointment and frustration to take you out of the flow of My Spirit and remove you from a place of peace. It is as though you were on a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs instead of remaining solid in your faith and trust in Me, says the Lord. Refuse to allow your circumstances to dictate to your sense of well-being. Stay strong and be steady.
Psalm 112:5-8 “A good man deals graciously and lends; he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/26/12:
Rise up with renewed hope and faith that nothing is impossible with Me, says the Lord. Release your concerns and distress to Me. I cannot deal with that which you do not give to Me. Trust Me for strength where you have been weak and peace where there has been turmoil. Do not be afraid; I am with you to bring you through every dilemma and cause you to be strong.
Isaiah 61:1-3 1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/25/12:
Stay calm, and access the peace that surpasses all situations, circumstances and understanding. Keep your thoughts and emotions under control, and let My presence pervade. Allow the fragrance of My Spirit to saturate your atmosphere, says the Lord. Let nothing disturb your spiritual tranquillity.
Philippians 4:7 “… and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 12/24/12:
I know the path that you have walked upon. I know the circumstances that you have dealt with. I have been with you, therefore I have seen. I know, and I understand the things that you wrestle with, the dilemmas that you have gone through, and the questions you have asked. I know your worst fears and I know your faith. Today I have come to encourage you. Those things you have worried about, those things that you are anxious about are known to Me, and this day as you release them to Me, I will deal with them. I will bring you through the valley of the shadow of death and bring you into the place of wisdom and knowledge. There are things that you must have understanding of so that you can proceed in an absolute faith and trust in Me, says the Lord God. I will bring you to a place of clarity with regard to things that concern you. Be at peace in this season, says the Lord God.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/24/12:
Release your concerns to Me and re-establish yourself in faith. You haven’t really stepped away from what you believe and know. Your foundation is still solid. Don’t let the enemy try to convince you otherwise. You have been hit with a barrage of issues that needed to be dealt with, which obliterated the clear view of My presence and purposes for you. What you must do is separate the distractions from spiritual reality and come to Me, says the Lord.
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/21/12:
Stay calm even when you are assaulted with confusion and chaos. Be quiet and ask for wisdom, and I will show you how to deal with every situation. This is momentary, and there is no need to allow unnecessary stress to hinder you or distort your perspective. Be quiet, says the Lord, and let Me help you.
Psalms 131:2 “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/20/12:
I would have you draw a clear line of separation between that which is your responsibility and area of authority and that which is not. I speak to many who have blurred these lines of distinction, and are found meddling in issues that are none of your business. This only serves to muddy the waters. Find and stay in the flow of My Spirit, and I will direct you to places of legitimate and meaningful intervention, says the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 “But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/19/12:
Pay attention, for I will impart strength and the wisdom necessary for you to break through stubborn problems. You will have to make some adjustments in your thinking and in your expectations. Be flexible. You must also be quiet enough to discern spiritual reality as it affects your natural condition, says the Lord. I will direct your steps.
Jeremiah 10:23 “O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/18/12:
Many of you, My people, are experiencing an almost unexplained sense of irritation with people around you. Beloved, this is something in you that has come up so that you can deal with the root of your irritability. Do not blame others for your reactions. Look squarely at the cause in yourself that creates this haughty response. It is an ungodly attitude that needs to be adjusted, says the Lord. I will give you wisdom and help you overcome.
Romans 12:21 “Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 12/17/12:
Indeed these are the days of perplexity. They are dangerous days. They are days when you can stray from the path I have established before you. For, did I not mention that it would be possible for the very elect to be deceived in the end of the age? And, the way you avoid that possibility is by staying close to Me, walking with Me, talking with Me. Surely, I have stated absolutely that My sheep hear My voice. So, listen for the sound of My voice. Listen for the prompting of the Holy Spirit, who will lead and guide you, and establish your feet firmly on the path that I have established for you, says the Lord.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/17/12:
Keep pressing even though your efforts are met with opposition. The end result with be worth all of your energy to break through. Refuse to get discouraged or decide to just give up. I am with you to bring you through to victory, says the Lord. Be strong and courageous.
Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/14/12:
You are standing in a place of leaving chaos behind, which is necessary before you can actually step into peace. There are still things in yourself, in your thoughts and emotions, that need to be dealt with and brought under the dominion of the Spirit before breakthrough will be a reality. All you have to do is the next thing. You can’t do what is beyond you. My grace and strength are sufficient for the moment. Live in the moment, says the Lord.
2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/13/12:
An old memory came up for review. When our son (now grown) was about 4 years old we took him to the Museum of Natural History. Outside of the building is a huge bronze bear statue, and I wanted to take his picture by the statue. He was terrified because he did not understand that the bear was not real and that it could not hurt him. Then, I thought of the things in our lives that we are afraid of or worry about that have no basis in reality. And, I heard the Lord say, “Stay present with Me. Refuse to project out and think about or be afraid of what might happen. Trust Me in all things.”
Psalms 56:11 “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/12/12:
Come up here, says the Lord, where you can release all tension and stress from the things that have weighed you down. Rise up out of worldly concerns and carnal thinking as you refocus on your life in the Spirit. This is where you can be refreshed and renewed and where you can be regenerated with fresh vitality. Come now; don’t delay.
Ephesians 4:23-24 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/11/12:
Beloved, I want you to be aware of your reactions to other people. When you see them as not equal with you, whether you see them as above or beneath, there needs to be an adjustment of your attitude. You already know that I have no preferences and that My love for everyone is exactly the same. My desire is for you to begin to see others as I see them, says the
Acts 10:34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 12/10/12:
The time of the eagle has come. I am raising up true prophets who will have eagle vision, and they will see and speak of that which I show them. No longer will My Church want for true prophetic voices. No longer will they listen to false words. My people will now become supernatural and will not be deceived by the voices of compromise. You are My eagles. Rise up now and take flight and soar above the calamity of this world, says the Lord.
Psalm 103:2-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/10/12:
Your time of transition has accelerated. You are rapidly entering a new phase where what you have counted on to be solid and stable has transcended to new heights. Just when you thought that you had reached the limit of your expectations and abilities, you will be required to go beyond what you could have ever considered or believed. Prepare to be stretched, says the Lord.
Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/7/12:
When life becomes a maze of confusion, stop and quiet your soul. You have overreacted to the onslaught of emotions that have assaulted your sensibilities. Spend whatever time is necessary to get your emotions under control, get your thoughts aligned with the word of truth, and refocus. Come into My presence for a time of refreshing. Ask, and I will give you wisdom and direction and take what seems incredibly complicated and reduce it to simple faith and trust, says the Lord. Come!
Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/6/12:
A number of things will require and even demand your attention, but you must take things in stride and exercise great patience. Truly, I will stretch your time and give you the necessary physical, mental and emotional resources to deal with every situation if you will only put your trust in Me to do so. Frustration will not only kill faith, but will also prolong the process. Refuse to get overwhelmed, says the Lord.
Galatians 5:24-25 “Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/5/12:
Watch for ways that small adjustments can make a difference in the outcome you desire. It won’t be difficult, but will require that you pay attention and be diligent to do what is necessary to achieve your goal. As you do that in the natural realm, you can also apply this principle to the spiritual realm. You must maintain your eternal perspective in everything, says the Lord.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/4/12:
When you are faced a difficult situation take the time to be quiet and ask for direction and wisdom. Your first instinct will be to move ahead without benefit of careful thought and consideration of the problem. Don’t panic. Stay calm and work through your dilemma with confidence that nothing is too difficult for Me, says the Lord, and I will show you the way.
Psalm 5:8 “Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face”.
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 12/3/12:
I am indeed releasing a wave of grace. My grace is sufficient for you. Arise and run to the battle. Set the standard. Believe the word of the Lord. Dress yourself fully in the armor of God and defeat the enemy that is against you. For, you are designed for victory. I will help you. I will bring you through to triumph every time if you will only believe and establish My work in your life. You shall become extraordinary in this season, says the Lord God.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 12/3/12:
Set a watch for all manner of seduction that will take you away from maintaining right relationship with Me, says the Lord. These are days when you must fight to keep spiritual focus. Be faithful and refuse to get sidetracked by the world, the flesh or the devil. The fight will be worth the victory. Stay close to Me.
1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world.”
