WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — President Donald Trump says he will establish a “National Garden of American Heroes,” which he is describing as “a vast outdoor park that will feature the statues of the greatest Americans who ever lived.”
Trump made the announcement as he opened the Fourth of July weekend with a speech and fireworks at the iconic Mount Rushmore.
He led into the announcement by paying tribute to a litany of American icons, from political figures like Ulysses S. Grant and Frederick Douglass to entertainers like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.
The executive order released Friday by the White House says the garden will feature statues of several presidents as well as other historic notables, including Davy Crockett, Amelia Earhart, Billy Graham, Alexander Hamilton, Harriet Tubman and Orville and Wilbur Wright.

The order states a state force will submit a report within 60 days that proposes the creation of the National Garden, including potential locations for the site.
Other statues mentioned in the executive order include John Adams, Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton, Daniel Boone, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, Henry Clay, Frederick Douglass, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Douglas MacArthur, Dolley Madison, James Madison, Christa McAuliffe, Audie Murphy, George S. Patton, Jr., Ronald Reagan, Jackie Robinson, Betsy Ross, Antonin Scalia, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Booker T. Washington and George Washington.
According to the executive order, the “National Garden of American Heroes” should be completed and open to the public ahead of the 250th anniversary of the proclamation of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026.”

This executive order by President Trump for a National Garden of Heroes is explicitly contrary to the character of Father. Monuments to and for men is simply vainglory, and elevates men above God. Biblically, monuments were erected at places where God met “men” and revealed Himself in some capacity that was revelatory.
It’s worth reminding ourselves of the history of the USA and the evils of colonization. N.A colonizers were: 1) Spain, 1565, 2) France, 1683, 3) England, 1587 and 1606, 4) Netherlands, 1609, 5) Sweden, 1638, 6) Russia 1812, CA post.
Only thirteen English colonies made up the USA in 1776, after which there was simple horse trading-sales and treaty making with the other colonizing countries creating boundaries as they saw fit. Throwing the statute of Edward Colston in the Bristol harbor is prophetic of the heart of God in raising awareness of the roots of colonialism. Remember Joshua’s treaty with the Gibeonites lasted centuries until King Saul decided to kill them. The final consequence of this broken vow was famine in the land under King David’s reign that required reparations. God does not forget and Jesus warned about making vows. Let your yes be yes, let your no be no.
Acts 17: 26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. The Great Commission in Matthew 28: 19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
There is NO indication that God has called, designated any land for a “Christian” nation. This is a myth that enabled the forefathers to consider disciple making as stealing, treaty breaking and residential schools that beat, raped and killed indigenous children. And the slave trade that enriched the colonizers on the literal backs and lives of enslaved Africans robbing them of their families, homeland and productive labour-power.
Forty of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence owned slaves. Under the Constitution, a slave was counted as three-fifths of a free person. Ten of the first 12 presidents owned slaves. This is the self-reflection of who united the colonies to declare the US a nation. The US’s moto is “from many, one” not the formalized 1956“in God we trust”. The Declaration of Independence 1776 cites “the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitles them,…that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights…….Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” The Constitution of 1787 makes no mention of God or Creator.
David Blight has written that the total value of all slaves combined, as property, in 1860 was greater than the value of every bank, factory, and railroad in the U.S. By 1860, America had 4 million slaves worth a total of $3 billion of the day’s currency. As a result, there were more millionaires in the Mississippi Valley — notably one of the poorest parts of America today — than anywhere else in the nation.
On April 16, 1862, more than eight months before he issued his Emancipation Proclamation, Abraham Lincoln signed a bill ending slavery in the District of Columbia. It provided for immediate emancipation of slaves and compensation to slave owners loyal to the Union of up to $300 for each freed slave. Over the next nine months, the board of commissioners appointed to administer the act approved petitions, completely or in part, from former owners for the freedom of 2,989 former slaves. Lincoln’s administration paid about $1 million to slave owners in D.C. for the loss of property.
Let the statue of Roosevelt at the NY American Museum of History remind all Christians of who, what, where and whence the civil strife today comes from.
Roosevelt explained in “Winning the West” that U.S. actions toward American Indians were part of the larger, noble endeavor of European colonialism: All men of sane and wholesome thought must dismiss with impatient contempt the plea that these continents should be reserved for the use of scattered savage tribes. … Most fortunately, the hard, energetic, practical men who do the rough pioneer work of civilization in barbarous lands, are not prone to false sentimentality. The people who are, these stay-at-homes are too selfish and indolent, too lacking in imagination, to understand the race-importance of the work which is done by their pioneer brethren in wild and distant lands. … The most ultimately righteous of all wars is a war with savages. … American and Indian, Boer and Zulu, Cossack and Tartar, New Zealander and Maori,—in each case the victor, horrible though many of his deeds are, has laid deep the foundations for the future greatness of a mighty people.”
Which is the sure foundation of America? Rock or sand? Matt 7:24-27 and finally when did Father God become a Republican? I do not recall Jesus being concerned about Roman rule other than rendering unto the government its due. Time to rediscover discipleship and be reminded that every Christian in every nation on earth have their citizenship in heaven as we eagerly await the “Great Awakening – Tabernacles”.
Is there an urgency to repent of generational sin? What are God’s laws of restitution and are you willing to pay them? We have merely been sojourners and leaseholders. God delegated authority but never relinquished Sovereignty as Owner of His Creation nor His plans for mankind.
Although there is not a dimes worth of difference in many whether Democrat or Republican (the deep state), I would say God became a Republican when the Democrats put abortion in their platform.
The Hebrews colonised Canaan. Without colonisation there would not eb any nations on the earth, the native Americans came over the Beiring Straits, who was in the land before them, even when they settled various tribes warred with each other for territory and enslaved the tribe they took the land from.
