An Announcement to the Devil — 7 Comments

  1. Jesus say in Heb. 2:14 that by His death (of His flesh man) he destroyed the devil; Rom 6:3-11 says our old man is dead, destroyed. Eph. 4:22-24 and Col. 3:9-10 says we are to put off that old dead man and be renewed according to true knowledge of God in the spirit of our mind.
Again, thru these verses, Jesus is telling us that the old (Adamic) man is the devil, satan, serpent and red dragon that He destroyed by His death on the cross. strong’s says 119, 120 adam means red, rosy ruddy.

  2. Rom 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 6-8 Knowing this, that our old man (which is the mark of the beast) is crucified with him, that the body of sin (mark of the beast) might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin (the mark of the beast). 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin (the mark of the beast). 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin (the mark of the beast), but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Eph 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old (Adamic) man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Col 3:9-10 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old (Adamic) man (mark of the beast) with his deeds (beliefs); 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: [That is if you continue in His TRUE word and be taught by Him.]

  3. Heb 2:14-17 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death (of the old Adamic man) He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; [Man by his choosing has the power of death or life and God says choose LIFE] 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. [Death or life are in the power of the tongue.]
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. – Romans 8:6

  4. Mark 8:31-35 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. 33 But when He had turned about and looked on his disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. 34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself (his soulish, carnal self), and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

Then in John 6:70-71 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil ? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

  5. Matt 16:21-27 From that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself (his carnal self), and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

  6. 2 Tim 3:16-17 All scripture is “given” by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (beliefs). Many years ago Father also revealed to me what the works were through this scripture in John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Prov 8:6-21 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. 7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. 8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness (truth); there is nothing froward (difficult to deal with) or perverse in them.
God/Jesus plainly tells us in verse 23 and 33 below that earthly man is satan.  Why don’t we believe Him? Because carnal man came up with many witty, unrighteous, imaginary, carnal inventions.

  7. Today, May 30, 2015 while eating lunch the Spirit of the Lord came to me as a thief in the night, meaning unexpectedly and revealed to me a question that I had asked Him about that “God is not a man that He should lie” and give me more understanding about who, what this devil is? It was revealed to me years ago that ones old carnal man Adam was adversarial, enmity and the word satan simply means adversary, which is a heart/ soul condition and not an entity as something that exists as or is perceived as a single separate object.
God had asked me sometime before if I believed Him, if I believed His word? At the time I said I do and thought that I did, but today I saw clearly by the given inspiration of God what I had asked Him.
I had read this portion of scripture many times, but did not see what I saw in it today about satan. Yes I will say that “God is not a man that He should lie”. These scripture’s I’m referring to are Matt. 16:21-27; Mark 8:31-35 where Jesus called Peter satan. Seeing what I saw these other portions of scripture came to me also, clearing what I had ask God.
