Are You Successful… or Fruitful?

For years I had been a very successful evangelist and we saw great revivals and miracles in our meetings.

We saw altars packed every night with lots of manifestations, demonstrations and miracles……

Here’s the problem – A number of years ago God led me to step away from this ministry for a season – In essence He said, “You are successful, but are you FRUITFUL?”

You see Anointing “gets the job done” – Fruit grows!

Anointing heals the sick, casts out devils and makes God a reality to experience and to ‘touch’.

Without Anointing we have nothing!

Yet fruit needs something more than miracles – Fruit needs SEED to be sown and to grow – firstly is us, then in others.

Fruit produces LASTING growth and intimacy – The lack of which produce revivals that last for as long as the tent sails are raised, and come down when they are let down.

There is a difference between having a successful meeting and having a fruitful meeting – A successful meeting lasts for 4 hours – A Fruitful meeting lasts for eternity!

The LORD began challenging everything I had been doing and the way I was doing it.

I began to realise that some of what we do, we have learned by imitation (following along the set patterns of how others did it – how to evangelise successfully, how to teach successfully etc.) rather than Inspiration!  (Allowing God to teach us)

This was the beginning of an entire remoulding in my life and the unleashing of a new season that would produce FRUIT rather than success!

It was also the birthing of a new apostolic season of responsibility that has changed and challenged me and led to the beginning of a wonderful journey into the heart of the Father.

Today I am functioning in both arenas, as the Spirit leads and wills, but from a whole different perspective!
