As Gentile believers, how should we then live? — 3 Comments

  1. This article sounds very convincing and logical and I hear the same from the pulpit most weeks.  However, if you were to make the clear distinction between arguments pertaining to ‘being saved’ and then to those related to living out a life of righteousness in Gods eyes that follows Gods instructions rather than the ‘traditions of man’, one would come to a very different conclusion.  I believe this is at the root of the errors in this article.  The author has made incorrect conclusions based on a confusion between these 2 arguments in the apostolic scriptures.  I live out my Christ centrered walk according to Gods instructions – this is not legalism – this is love.

  2. I would like to say a few things about you telling Gentiles who believe in Yeshua HaMashiach as the Jewish Messiah, that we don’t have to keep the Torah. I could go on and try to explain to you why I’ve come to the conclusion that Yeshua wants us to keep His Torah, but that would take too long. My wife and I have been keeping God’s Torah for the last 15 years. He has taught us that we are one in Messiah, Jew and Gentile. There are a lot of scriptures that seem to say that God’s Torah is done away with for Gentiles. God’s word never contradicts itself and God has never changed how He justifies and sanctifies His people, Jews and Gentiles. There are not two ways of salvation and two ways of sanctification. God came to the Jew first and then to the Gentile. He does not have two sets of rules for Jews and Gentiles. A Jewish person who believes in Messiah and is born again is still a Jew and does not convert to Christianity. If the Jewish person does something wrong in God’s eyes, God will correct him. If a Gentile who is a believer and is born again does the same thing wrong as the Jewish believer, and God does not correct him, then we have two sets of rules for two different disciples. That is not Jew and Gentile, one in Messiah. This is not one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all. Ephesians 4:5

What puzzles me is that you send Gentiles emails about going to Israel and spending their money, going there to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, when the Feast of Tabernacles you say is not for Gentiles to keep. You are not making much sense to me brother.

    In Messiah Yeshua HaMashiach

who keeps God’s Torah not for justification
but for sanctification so we can be part of Adonai’s people Israel
and holy in His eyes and not part of the pagan world
