Beauty for Ashes
In prayer today, 28th October 2021, I hear Him say of Himself, “In the shaking in their vents there is healing through their rents.”
Immediately I knew the source of this: Beauty for Ashes (2001)
The poem that follows, is a result of a vision I was given, nearly 20 years ago, whilst having fellowship over the phone with a friend.
As I write today, October 2021, I sense, this is about to come about in increasing measure.
I saw a night scene. It was of a dark, desolate, dead and “sooty black” sandy desert. There was no life and the main feature looking down from above, was a conical shaped Volcano. It had a narrow, yet perfectly formed circular mouth.
I heard the Word proceed from the mouth of God.
This Word was first spoken BEFORE this scene I was looking at was formed or even existed — or even manifested into being.
This Word was spoken by Him from before the beginning of time and had traveled across the ages, aeon’s and history of man and had found landing in the desolate, desert place described … for such a time as this … the Day of God prepared for the night of man.
I heard and felt a rumbling, a shaking and as I looked up, now from the ground level, to the lip of the Volcano.
I understood, God’s Word had come through the passages of before time and into the PRESENT underground passages of magma.
From underneath, leading upward to the Volcano’s mouth and had erupted through the mouth and exploded high above the summit of the Volcano.
I then saw the myriad droplets of magma, sparkling fire like droplets from the explosion, fall to the ground and all around, landing in the “sooted” barren black sands, circumventing the Volcano.
But each individual spark one sees as if in slow motion. Everywhere the droplets fell, immediately life and lush colourful vegetation rose up, in thick verdant green and abundant flowering foliage. The Garden of God in the desert of man.
God’s Word had been loosed before the world was formed from within Him. From within the City of Light and for this time, it has been measured to bloom and prosper on the now darkened sand of mankind’s life.
My friend Tim called it the Sands of Time, but I also call the resultant poem, Beauty for Ashes. May you be blessed in reading it and understanding it’s now message.

A desert dark and oh so blank
No flower, no shrub, no root or branch
But bare and desolate, “sooted” with death
One wonders what will happen next
Atop a dark and conical hill
A tremor trembles, bringing thrill
A sound so near, yet distant still
Rocks the night of volcanic mill
A voice, a voice so deep and round
Amid the groaning of earths gown
A rumble, grumble, a low bemoan
As the voice of Heaven finds its home
Through aeon, age and earths history night
The word from God has set alight
Both earthly and the heavenly sphere
The sonic sound its listener hear
From further back, before the still,
Of no creation formed to fill
No light, no dark, no earth nor heavens
Yet You have sought Your words append
Upon my earthly ear delight
Filled my sound till I am spent
With deep to deep and deeper still
Your base in me does thrill and fill
As I adore this quivering hill,
its shaking lip and mouth not still
And I below a seer am
Of heavens love, spoken command
I see your word upon landscape fall
Shot in the air, creation to call
And drop like dew, Your fine works here
The firework of Your love is clear
Upon the death of our dust You fall
The words of life the clay to claim
And where You touch the earth so bare
a Life from You is born and lain
No more the dust the desolate earth
No more the dread and dying berth
But life and light and colour of you
Becomes the bier of heavens dew
No dark, no dismal signature signed
For You have sent Your word to here
Transforming through earths underground
Through, aeons ages its path is bound.
To You, Your host, in the City of Light
Has undertaken for mans plight
And as in life Your words fulfill
Today, You joy in its entire thrill.”
To God be the glory, for both word and sight and sound and spirit.
In prayer today — 28th October 2021 — I hear Him say of Himself, “In the shaking in their vents there is healing through their rents.”
He reminded me of the significance of a now event that draws us to His intentions …
The Cumbre Vieja Volcano continues to wreak havoc on the Canary island of La Palma. The eruption has continued for more than a month.
Cumbre : means, height, peak or top
Vieja : means, ancient, old; a term of endearment for elderly lady.
In the midst of, at the height of such destructive power, are the “the ancient vents and fissures, the tearing of the rents of earths garments”.
Their rising, in both intensity, even numerically will bring about, through “as if in their nature” His healing and restoration.
The fall out will/ is to bring about His beauty from the ashes.
From all this the “firework of His love” is visible and becomes increasingly clear, both internally in His own and outwardly, externally through Him to the world.
To date there are 48 Volcanoes intermittently in an active state. There are 26 of those, that are at present more, permanently active.

To you both, in fact to all. I feel to just share a little more of a parallel vision given about the same time. Is that there is a magma, that comes directly from the heart of God Himself., it is who He is it is what consumes Him. You consume Him, just the very thought of you.
But I saw on the slopes of this volcano, bands and deposits of trees. When His heart erupts the magma also flows down the sides, the slopes of the volcanic mountain. As the magma overspill touches the trees, they are burnt up. But the wonderful thing was that nothing of the old was left and that which was negative of the old just couldn’t grow there anymore. Freedom and a new growth and a different landscape is formed and cultivated.
Early this year I was in deep pains from stubborn cyclical events that seen to be limiting me & I didn’t know how to pray again concerning these events. Then in the midst of the pains, I had a dream one night & I HEARD A VOICE SAID “BEAUTY FOR ASHES”. I woke up comforted even when I didn’t know the full meaning until today that I read your post. I believe this on time & now prophetic word is for me! God sees all my pains & our pains. HE is indeed a Merciful Father. Sir, may God increase your anointing in Jesus Christ name.

Yesterday I looked up the number 48 and it’s meaning, as it seems the Lord most definitely is speaking to me through this number, and I’m truly amazed at how it’s definition lines up with your vision.
I had a vision myself about 20 years ago.
I fell asleep on the sofa one night and was awakened within my sleep to see that the wall in front of me was on Fire, it was coming at me so fast that all I had time to do was put my head between my legs as it consumed me, and then I awoke. This Fire has been burning out of me since then the dross, the wrinkles, and the blemishes embedded in my flesh. It’s been a very painful lonely journey, but He is Well worth it.
