Conclusion for Now in Revelation of the Study of the 7 Churches — 8 Comments

  1. I return to the “l”.  This letter is pronounced “el”, which is the first syllable and also the common factor of the name Elijah, Ēlīyyāhū in Hebrew and Elias in Greek.  [“El” alone is translated as “God”, which may explain why the “l” for Elijah is given only as a lower-case letter.] If this indeed relates to Elijah, it may throw more light on the significance of the vision of the connecting “joint”, since Elijah’s ministry may be described as one of “joining” the generations,
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
    And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” [Malachi 4:5-6]

This interpretation stands on the fact that the Lord also prophesied that Elijah would come:
“Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.” [Matthew 17:11],
and that the fulfilment must surely be seen in the context of the other events prophesied in the book of Revelation.

    • And, the church at Laodicea?  Their problem is that they are “neither hot nor cold” [Revelation 3:16] – or neither one thing nor another. Their state is remarkably similar to the earlier state of Israel, which – again – Elijah – was called to address:
“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.” [1 Kings 18:21]
There is another similarity in that Elijah also prayed down fire onto the altar, while the Laodicean church is offered refining fire.

I believe that a desire for worldly prosperity was instrumental to the Baal worship that Elijah confronted.  We also know that the material wealth of the Laodicean church is associated with her spiritual poverty.  Thus. I believe the refining ministry of Elijah is coming to the Laodicean church – and particularly to the prophetic.

      • Thank you Mark. It makes sense and does fit. Both your responses here.

It seemed as I kept looking at both comments, this stood out.
“Thus I believe the refining ministry of Elijah is coming to the Laodicean church – and particularly to the prophetic.”

Just to share here I know there is an Elijah Ministry. I will never forget like in 1999 a vision I had of ‘Elijah the prophet’.
He was standing by my ‘mantle’ in my bedroom of my house. He stamped ‘777’ on my forehead. It was so real, it felt I actually met him, although a vision.

Still since then the Lord has told me that if we have ‘His number’ on us, which is ‘777’ being the ‘fullness’ we won’t take no mark of the beast which is the number of a man.. ‘666’. Thanks my brother. I want to get still and study on all you shared. God bless.

        • Joyce, Thank you.  I believe there are some for whom the Father predetermined before the foundation of the world that they would not take the mark of the beast.

Regarding the 777, I recently had a short dream about the number 343.  I have a head for numbers, and, while not understanding the significance of this dream, nor knowing if it even was significant, do know that 343 is the cube of 7 or 7x7x7, another form of three sevens.

Another thought I leave with you: there is a claim that the book of Revelation – and Matthew – was first written in Hebrew and later translated into the Greek from which we get the English versions.

Soon after my posting, I discovered this message from Mary Ann Peluso McGahan [https://jimbakkershow.com/watch/?guid=4305]. I am now careful to whom I listen, and listen to fewer people than I did before, but I sense a holiness upon this woman who used to minister alongside David Wilkerson.  She gave a confirmation about a cleaning up of the prophetic, to which you also witness.

          God bless you!

          • Thank you, Mark. Interesting the 343 and all you spoke!

I wish to check this out, the message by Mary Ann.

            I understand that…
We have to be very careful and try the spirits constantly with everyone…

David Wilkerson was so very instrumental to sowing into my life when maybe 33 or so . The Book “The Cross and the Switchblade” impacted me.
I read it over and over and knew he was the real deal!

God bless you and thank you again.

  2. Thank you as always for your response Shelley.
To just pull one quote from Elaine’s note above:

“He’s calling you to come back to your first love. He wants to reignite the fire and rekindle the flame.”

The church of ‘Laodecia’ was lacking the love you so mentioned.

So the ‘key’ I see for the ‘Laodecia’ church is to come back and return!

Jesus is speaking for us to RETURN to our beginning experience of where we loved Him with all our heart, soul and mind! Then the 2nd commandmandment to love our neighbor as ourselves.

I wondered but felt that was why the Holy Spirit had me
exiting the note with Ecc 12:13 and Mat.22:37-40.

Love will conquer all. Love will Win! As you spoke faith, hope and love but love is the greatest!

Thank you again precious Shelley! Hugs

  3. Philippians 1:9-10 tPt
I continue to pray for your love to grow and increase beyond measure, bringing you into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things.
This will enable you to choose the most excellent way of all —becoming pure and without offense until the unveiling of Christ.
    1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 8a, 10
Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up….
    Love never stops loving
but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away.
    2 Timothy 2:1 tPt
    Grace to Overcome
Timothy, my dear son, live your life empowered by God’s free-flowing grace, which is your true strength, found in the anointing of Jesus and your union with him!

Overcome every form of evil as a victorious soldier of Jesus the Anointed One. For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him.(2 Timothy 2:3-4)

  4. ahhh yes. Mama Joyce…The WHOLE body perfectly joined together/ fit together in love…THATS what supplies “fat n health” to the “marrow”… in the bones…
Without it we are hardened and diseased…like “arthritis”…

    1 Corinthians 13:8a, 10 tPt
    8a Love never stops loving….
…but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away.

Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love—yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.
    (1Corinthians 13:13 tPt)
