Cursing requires no foresight — 2 Comments

  1. Thanks, I needed this.  I got a bit out there last night and with some politicians who are wrecking the world.  Thanks, there is only one judge, Yeshua who is worthy.  I’m kicking this into His court.  I’ll be honest it’s not easy being a harbinger…

  2. Absolutely dear brother, we are called to bless and not to curse. Christ redeemed us from curses of the law with his precious blood. “But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” (‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ NLT).

According to the book of revelation,”No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads”. (‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭3-4‬ NLT)

But we should understand how deeply the Father loves his only begotten son. The Lord himself states in the book of Samuel, ““Therefore, the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.”(‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2‬:‭30‬ NLT)
This was said when Eli’s son’s defiled the sacrifice, which at that time was animals representing the Lord’s future sacrifice. The Lord continues,The time is coming when I will put an end to your family, so it will no longer serve as my priests. All the members of your family will die before their time. None will reach old age. You will watch with envy as I pour out prosperity on the people of Israel. But no members of your family will ever live out their days. The few not cut off from serving at my altar will survive, but only so their eyes can go blind and their hearts break, and their children will die a violent death”. (‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2‬:‭31-33‬ NLT)

If this was the punishment for those that took the sacrifice of Our Lord lightly, when the sacrifice consisted of animals that represented Our Lord’s awesome work, how much more will it be for those that take replace the Gospel of Good News with another Gospel.
Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians, I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ. Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed. Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. (‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭6-10‬ NLT)

Paul, an Apostle full of the Holy Spirit, who called himself a bond servant to our Lord and endured struggle after struggle to ensure the pure Gospel is preached as it was given from heaven, spoke these words boldly. Should we take this lightly? Shouldn’t we also, show such care with giving the devil more power than He has with our words? When we take lightly the awesome power and might of our Lord’s cleaning blood and sacrifice and actually say that the curses of the enemy are a match against our Mighty Lord? His sacrifice was monumental and is not taken lightly in the eyes of the Father. And should not be taken lightly by His chosen people!!!How can we bring down His mighty sacrifice to such a low level. Satan is no match for Our Savior and King Jesus!!! The enemy’s curses are no match against Our Lord’s awesome sacrifice. So I understand Paul’s statement that a double curse be on anyone that preaches a different Gospel, or a Gospel that attempts to deny the power of Our Living Lord! This shouldn’t be accepted by God’s children, if they are truly his.
