Pride:

—  Will cause you to enter into areas that you are not spiritual qualified or equipped for.

—  It will make you look ignorant unlearned and will also cause you to be humiliated before the people, because you will engage a spirit a situation or a problem that will reveal your immaturity and lack of training and teaching.

Some persons believe their title is their authority and anointing, not understanding that Satan is never afraid of who you announce yourself to be, but he is afraid of those whom God announces!

I am truly observing that people need to truly be taught on Spiritual Warfare and Altar Etiquette.

There are some things that we need to truly learn such as:

1.   When you are in a service, you are there as a visitor not the preacher.  Don’t take liberties in someone else’s house.

2.   Unless you are invited to work the Altar, please refrain from inviting yourself.  People don’t know you and just because you have a title, don’t mean you are Spiritually Clean.

3.   While the preacher is preaching, it is not an opportunity for you to have a laying hands, prophesying party with the persons sitting around you in the congregation.

4.   When somebody else is dealing with a person for deliverance, please don’t run up and start screaming, hollering, speaking in loud tongues or calling people out of their name.  You are not defusing the situation, but causing a distraction.

5.   Never overstep the person who has been given the authority over The Service.  This is not your time to campaign, or for you a door to be open.

6.   When asked to stand and just introduce yourself and say a few words, do just that.  Don’t start preaching, praying or prophesying after the preacher.

7.   Your title does not give you liberty to the Pulpit or a special seat.  You are extending honor in somebody else’s ministry — you don’t just demand it.

8.   If you are asked to help work on the Altar, please don’t take this time to invite people to your Church or give out your business card or phone number.  This is not a member recruiting moment.

9.   The Altar call is for Salvation, Deliverance, Healing breakthroughs — not for socializing and laughing joking and holding conversations.

10.  If you are helping with the Altar, please pay attention.  If you are distracted and your mind, wandering, you need to sit down.

11.  Please make sure your personal hygiene is on point.  Your breath, body, clothes and feet should not be smelly or musty.

12.  When praying for people, please don’t touch them in areas that are inappropriate.

Men, there is a proper way to catch women without touching their private parts (that are off limits) and

Women your hands should not be in any area that arouses a man, and neither should you be pressing certain parts of your body on men.

13.  Appropriate clothing is a must for the altar.

Women, your breast shouldn’t be about to fall out; your dress shouldn’t be so tight it’s about to burst.

Men, your pants should not be so tight that when you bend over they split or your shirt open so low that we can see every hair that is or isn’t on your chest.  Check your attire!

Be careful that you don’t allow pride to bring you into a place of humiliation before the people.

Sometimes we so busy trying to be in the spotlight and to prove we are anointed, that we over step our boundaries and our lack of power is revealed or our spiritual illiteracy is uncovered.

“Pride goes before a destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”   Proverbs 16:18.
