The last few days as I sought The LORD about the state of the nation, the Church and the President of the United States, I have been very perplexed at some of the religious leaders who appear to have given up HOPE that God will intervene and righteousness will reign.

The LORD spoke to me through two songs.

The first one was the popular Christmas song, “Do You Hear what I Hear?” written by Noël Regney and Gloria Shayne Baker in 1962 at the height of ‘The Cuban Missile Crisis‘.

I’m not going to go into that whole story, but will just say that the world sort of hovered on the brink of destruction for several days in October, as the standoff between the USSR and the USA continued over the sending of short and medium-range ballistic missiles by the USSR to Cuba.

Those missiles were being put in place as a result of the failed Bay of Pigs invasion by US forces into Cuba in an attempt to overthrow Castro’s regime.

The next time, the USA might not make such a hash of things was the thought, so the then-leader in Moscow, Nikita Kruschev, decided to put some strong deterrents in place.

In the end the USSR backed down and removed the missiles, with a lot of back-channel negotiating coming into play.

The world breathed a little easier.   Let’s take a moment and ponder the words to that song “Do you hear what I hear?”

“Said the night wind to the little lamb:
“Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite”

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy:
“Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song, high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea”

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king:
“Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Let us bring Him silver and gold”

Said the king to the people everywhere:
“Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people everywhere!
Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light”  (emphasis added)

As I listened to this song and the story behind the man who wrote it, My single FOCUS was truly on the birth of Christ and the Hope that remains because of God’s GIFT to us.

The second song was “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” which is totally focused on what WE are Getting if we are good  and it seems the talk of the town is all about a STIMULUS check from the Government.

It surely seems we have come to trust in the control of the government ruling and reigning through fear and control much more than the one who truly exhorts us to trust HIM and live by Faith that HE will supply all our needs.  His Goodness and Mercy never ends.

The words of that song carry a warning of what we must do and how we must “perform” because Santa is watching and knows everything so we better be good.

The words go like this:

“He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!
O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town…..”

I began to see what The LORD was telling me.

He led me back to a Word He had given me in 2019 of which I am sharing excerpts from here which give a background preparation for where we seem to be in this hour.

We truly must feast our eyes on the God of all HOPE and His gift to us, Jesus Christ in us, our HOPE for peace on earth and goodwill to men.

YES, HE will bring us goodness and light.  Fast forward to now as 2020 comes to a close and America as a nation stands on the brink of disaster in regards to freedom and truth and justice.

We are standing and sending a message to all who call themselves Christians to fight the good fight of faith for freedom and justice.

As I looked back to that word in light of where we now stand as 2020 comes to a close and America stands at a crossroads of fighting for freedom and justice, I realized the depth of preparation The LORD arranged for us to enable us to embrace this fight of faith that is set before us.

We recently witnessed the “Christmas star” which I perceive was a reminder of the star that the three Wise Men saw.   The ‘Christmas star’ is in our sky for the first time in 800 years.

I believe it was not just an accident but a sign from The LORD of goodness and light to remind us HE IS OUR HOPE. May we never forget we HOPE in something greater than ourselves!

May the GOD of all HOPE fill you with all JOY and PEACE as you TRUST in HIM so that you may overflow with HOPE by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

As I searched the scriptures on HOPE, I also heard these words, “My Hope is built on Nothing Less…”

Here is the excerpt from “Do You Hear What I Hear?” that The LORD spoke to me in 2019.

It truly connects to what HE is continuing to say to me in this Christmas season as we feast on eyes on the God of all HOPE and His gift to us…  Jesus Christ in us, our HOPE for peace on earth and goodwill to men.

In 2019, I also said in HKP Word ,“A New Time of Breakthrough!”

We are stepping into a dawning of a brand new day like we have never seen before.

I heard The LORD say, “Daughter, this change that is taking place is beyond what you have human reasoned or even imagined for I AM stretching you beyond the limits in your mind.

It is a time of redeeming the time.  I AM allowing you to awaken, recognize and discern the season through My Eyes.”

We are moving from complacency to breathing in the breath of God that resurrects that which is dead.  New systems, new diversity, and unity will arise as you yield to the strengthening of your spirit in the secret place.

In HIM, there is no shadow or turning. In HIM, there is coming in us a strengthening in the inner man to enable us to go forth beyond the four walls of the Church as it once was.

The LORD is gathering HisWwarrior Bride as He opens up new portals of visitation.  This is not a time to resist or crossover into unbelief but a time to trust and believe.

“I, The LORD God, say to you, make no mistake in believing My Promises.

Multiplication of promises kept will overtake the division and derision of yesterday’s challenges as you step through the heavenly portal into higher places of holiness.

You shall believe and not doubt in this time of equipping and strategic development, says The Captain of The LORD of hosts.”

I am led to leave you with this short story about the author of “Do You Hear What I Hear” — Noel Regney — was a very interesting figure even apart from his musical career.

As I read this history, I believe The LORD himself give the author these lyrics.  It certainly is true that history many times repeats itself.

The LORD is still confirming that He truly leads us to the light and HE is the LIGHT that shines in the DARKNESS.

Noel Regney was originally from France and had been conscripted into the German army after the Nazis overran his country in WWII.  But he didn’t just grin and bear it, instead becoming a double agent for the French Resistance and passing on intelligence about German strategy.

In one case he led his unit into an ambush and was wounded himself.  Thereafter he deserted the Germany army and worked full time for the Resistance until the war was over, at which time he came to America and began a successful musical career.

He met and married Gloria Shayne Baker, an accomplished pianist, and together they wrote a string of hits.  The story goes like this

“In the studio, the producer was listening to the radio to see if we had been obliterated.  En route to my home, I saw two mothers with their babies in strollers.  The little angels were looking at each other and smiling.  All of a sudden, my mood was extraordinary.
A glimpse of these babies filled his heart with poetry. T he little ones reminded him of newborn lambs.  Thus, the song begins, ‘Said the night wind to the little lamb….’”   (“How the Threat of Nuclear War Inspired This Classic Christmas Song.”)

The song rose to popularity after Bing Crosby recorded it in 1963 and it became a standard Christmas song with the mention of “the Child” and the phrase that stands out to so many is the pleas for people to “pray for peace . . . everywhere.”

It is indeed the whole point of the lyrics. And also some wondered about the line “the star with a tail as big as a kite” as an illustration of the lower ray of the star of Bethlehem being lengthened until it actually touches the roof of the stable.

When you know the context of the words suddenly that “tail” becomes more ominous: it indeed evokes the biblical star that led the Magi to the Christ child.  (Reference credit to story as told by ^©Debi Simons).

I pray that you will come to the LIGHT as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

May you allow that LIGHT to dispel all the darkness in your understanding and may you allow Him to come into your heart to live BIG in you as we go forth into a new year, a brand new start.

I hear The LORD saying, “I AM your ever present help in time of need.  This is not the end, it is the completion of a divine correction.

I AM the just judge of all things.  My Timing is perfect.  I AM your Anchor in this storm.  The winds of change are whirling wildly even in the lightning and thunder.

Know that I speaking PEACE to the storm and I AM bringing a urgent cleansing and refreshing peace to the earth.  

My Plans for you are good and my mercy is your wake up call every morning.  So TRUST Me with all your heart.

Many are drowning in the downpour of fear — but My Love is here to flood your heart and keep your mind in perfect PEACE as we walk together into the new year.

Expect many miraculous beginnings to take you beyond your expectations,” says The Father.

Postscript

Noel Regney, who helped write the beloved Christmas song ”Do You Hear What I Hear?” died last Sunday in Brewster, N.Y. He was 80.

He wrote the seasonal standard with Gloria Shayne, then his wife, in 1962 . It was recorded by Bing Crosby and Perry Como, among others, in more than 120 versions, in musical styles ranging from jazz and New Age to funk and reggae.

But Mr. Regney wrote it as a clear and plaintive plea for peace at the time of the Cuban missile crisis, in October 1962. His favorite version was Robert Goulet’s.  When Mr. Goulet came to the line ”Pray for peace, people, everywhere,” he almost shouted the words.

”I am amazed that people can think they know the song — and not know it is a prayer for peace,” Mr. Regney said in an interview in The New York Times in 1985.  ”But we are so bombarded by sound and our attention spans are so short that we now listen only to catchy beginnings.”
