God Will Restore What the Cankerworm Has Eaten — 10 Comments

  1. I woke up about one am and the lord told me that he would give me back the years that the cankerworm had eaten. I didn’t know what a cankerworm was, so I looked it up, which led me to this sight. I really enjoyed the commentary. Thank you.

  2. Thank you for your word. I’ve been struggling recently having gone through a recent divorce to a “man of God” that abused me in every way but physically. God reminded me of His promise to restore what cankerworm has eaten. I read about the cankerworm and it said “most of the damage occurs about the time the leaves become fully developed.” This was the case for me. I was doing very well physically, spiritually and emotionally. I was ministering as a chaplain. My new husband took all that from me, but I know now God is giving it back to me.

  3. I am praying tonight for my sister in Christ, Diane, whose son is wrongly imprisoned for many years and who has suffered a mental breakdown. Thank you for your commentary on this passage, which strengthens our hearts and gives us hope in this situation.

  4. Thank you for your encouragement. I had a hard place right now and it looks like there’s no ending to my toil. It looks like that financially, I am going to lose everything yet I do praise the Lord just because it’s good. I’m in a very hard place but I believe that God is going to restore me.

  5. Right now .. I look back on my life and see the wasted years.. I just turned 62 and this hit me hard.. not only is this hitting me but my body aches with joint pains.. especially my knees.. everything appears hopeless… but the Lord gave me this scripture and another.  Psalms 103:5 ..
It seems I have none to talk to as I walk through this dark time in my life except the Lord..
I try to explain what I am feeling but the words can’t describe the feelings.
Even my wife seems not to understand…

    • Hi Daniel,
Yes, as you know, Psalm 103:5 says “Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
However, as I read your comment I was reminded that the Word says in Matthew 15:11, that “it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”
I believe that is what The LORD wants you to focus on.
For as Proverbs 18:21 says, “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
So seek speak life into your own situation, as you do into the situations of the others around you, for what you sow, you shall reap.  Sow life and reap life!
      Blessings in Christ Jesus,
      Angus

  6. I heard the Lord and my spirit begin to talk about the Locust and the cankerworm so I pulled it up on Google and I stroll down and I got to this one and I enjoyed the reading thanks for the encouragement I needed that at this time God bless

  7. Stephen
    Thank you for your word.
I have been in the most severe of winters for the past 3 years.
My hope is in the Lord. All I can do is wait.
    Your word sustains me.
    Blessings
