How Is Your Depth Perception?
Some years back, the Lord God began to show me the state of the church.
I had a dream, and in that dream I saw a railroad car that was located alone on a grassy field right below a mountain. As I said, the railroad car was alone, there were no railroad tracks anywhere and no other railroad cars, and there were no buildings.
I could hear loud music and singing coming from it, and there were heads and arms of men and women leaning out of the railroad car, swaying to the music. They seemed to be completely unaware of where they were, and what was going on, lost in this party they were having.
On this eve of the Inauguration of President Donald Trump, the words he spoke to begin his speech were prophetic.
In paraphrase, he said that this is the time to RESTORE AND REBUILD after years of failure of our government, and begin again to operate as this country was intended, by the people.
So how does this apply to you? Yes, the world is now looking to a new president to take them into the future and restore vision and rebuild communities and lives that have been hurt by failed government, and this is important to us because we live here.
But in retrospect, I believe this is a mirror for us. Many Christians have also lost sight of the vision God has given them, because of the failure of the church, and, as the world has changed. Christians have allowed themselves to be grossly influenced by it, and not for the better.
We need to go back to the roots of our faith in God and get out of the clouds.
In the natural, this dream I had is a picture of what I am talking about. This railroad car somehow got derailed, went off the tracks and wandered into a field all alone. It has left it’s straight and narrow path and it no longer has a course or a purpose to follow… It is going nowhere… It is dead stopped!
Oh yes, the grass is definitely greener here in this new place. No one around to tell them what they should or should not do, and the people on board are so lost in themselves and what they are doing they either don’t know what has happened, or they don’t care, the fun of the moment is all that matters.
This railroad car is located not just in a green field, but at the base of a mountain in a valley. These Christians are no longer on the mountain with God, but they are in the valley of decision. It is time to decide where you are going! It is time to take your position… for your future will be determined by what you do now!
A railroad car must be attached to an engine to travel along tracks to arrive at a destination. Now I see another train, it is called the Faith Train and the conductor is the Holy Spirit.
On this train an all you can eat buffet is offered of the Word of God, and, to board this train, no baggage is allowed. It’s time to lay the things of the world down for they hold no promise of a future with God.
The Holy Spirit is our helper and our guide. Without His leadership we will be led astray, led away from God and from His truth, and the word of God should be our staple diet.
Beloved, the bible says in 2 Corinthians 13:5 to examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? – unless you are disqualified.
I believe it’s time for you and I to take inventory… an honest view of ourselves with the leadership of the Holy Spirit… to investigate our motives, our actions, our thoughts, our time, words spoken, our prayer life, our time in God’s word, and our witness.
Now is the time to start, for we are the church, we are God’s people and ambassadors for Christ, and it is time to restore and rebuild our foundation in Christ on his principles and by his word. It’s time once and for all to leave the world behind!
“And the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity,” Luke 8:14.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore,” Psalm 16:11.

As for me I can say, with GOD`s knowing:
I do not know any other person who has left so many false treasures, false teachers, false “friends”, false doctrines. We all know Christians with flourishing businesses who do not really care about anything holy.
We know Philippians 2:15: “We are children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”
And so it comes that we sometimes get an invitation to “secular, ordinary people”. If we do not come, they mock us. If we come, brethren mock us. BUT GOD…. HE sat together with the lost, the sick, the poor in Spirit, and first of all: Mostly with the poor. We all have seen the video of the mega church of 10.000 people but only 3 were acting like JESUS wanted them to act. Or Isaiah 58 tells us: Take care for this lost world, be salt and light, go on and DO your work ! It is not only about feeding them. It is 1st of all: Being there for anybody who asks you if you can walk a mile with him. Don`t worry – not many ask this – you still will have time for your nice Sunday after church naps…. and your own household. But Ezechiel already knew and foretold in chapter 34: They only look for their own houses… Anyway – I notice your true intention in your article. Stay blessed !
