What do you do when you preach healing to others and you are not healed yourself?

Many years ago, God gave me a revelation on the Healing of the Mind and Spirit.  It was no doubt one of the most neglected subjects in our fellowships.

I never knew what that revelation would cost me.  It’s no wonder God does not reveal so often what is ahead for us.

By the way, God does not always reveal everything to the Prophet.  Sometimes He hides things from them.

Perhaps it’s so none of us can boast.  Maybe it’s to protect us or maybe to keep us humble.

He often gives us thorns and burdens to carry.  Most people never think about just why Paul was given such a thing.

It was because He knew so much. “the abundance of the revelations.”  It seems that God did not heal or deliver Paul from that thorn.  I believe it remained.

This message of Healing and Restoration, it is so vital and needed today.  It is indeed one of the last segments of the Revival that God has placed in our hearts for these last days. It may be even more important than people rising from wheelchairs.

For example, what good would it do to be healed of blindness or other infirmities if you were still left with a broken and wounded spirit, a wounded spirit, a broken heart?

I wonder how many truly realize how devastating and final that can be?  We failed in our fellowships to teach and reveal the true message that Jesus came to “bind up those that are bruised” and to “heal the broken-hearted.

Many of our people are carrying wounds and scars and shredded hearts that never healed.  They’re not complainers or full of self-pity.

They didn’t get the healing they needed.  I’ve said before that some are still active in Church.  Millions are lying broken on the rocks.

It doesn’t matter how they got there.  What matters is that He has sent us to find them.  He left all for one lost sheep.  How about us?

I told God recently, “I cannot heal anyone until I am healed myself.”

Let’s don’t mince words.  I realize we in ourselves cannot heal anyone — but that which was born in us most certainly can be used to heal others.

He sent them out and they did.  The Word says they did.  We’ve been too afraid to claim that.  They cast out devils and healed the sick in His name.

An empty vessel cannot pour out water.  A broken vessel cannot even hold it.  So, I am telling God again today, in the most humble way I know how:

“God, I know this message is real.  I know it is your Word.

This gift of Healing must be administered to your people, all of them, in the Church and out of the Church.  I cannot do the work I love and want to do if your do not strengthen me today.

I just can’t.  Heal me oh LORD so that I can administer this process of restoration to others.  You gifted me many years ago and revealed it in your Word to me.  Heal me and touch me anew.”

You know, this truth lives inside of me even at this moment.  If He should choose not to heal my broken heart, if I can’t find that healing balm for my troubled spirit, then even yet let me be a channel to pour it out to others.

Let me see them restored and delivered to full mental and spiritual health.

One day the tears and heartache will all be over.  I pray that when my time comes to stand before the greatest King of all, some precious lambs will speak up and say, this man helped me.

Even though he was broken himself, he still reached out to do whatever he could.  He just said, “Come on brother, come on sister.  We can make it together.”

Binding up wounds, anointing broken lambs with this precious balm that flowed from Calvary’s mount. God, heal me so I can heal someone else.  Restore me to my rightful place, so that I might restore someone else to there’s.

And the words to that lovely old song, “The Healer.” …….. He was wounded, for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. Surely He bore our sorrows, and by His stripes we are healed.
