There was a time when God’s Judgement was seen executed instantly.
Fire devoured the unrighteous. The earth opened up and swallowed the unjust.
This was a time prior to Christ, a time of foreshadow wherein everything was experienced and seen pointing to a time when all of the same things would be unseen.
A time of the temporal, that prophesied an era that would come where all things would be eternal and changed from natural observation to spiritual discernment.
Today, the Judgement of God is no longer seen in the natural.
Sinners seem to walk free from any fear or harm that would befall them in their sin.
Even some of the elect have fallen prey to believing that they are free from the judgement of sin.
Living lavishly and free from all moral restraints – while marching ever closer to the destruction of an eternal judgement that condemns to no end!
“The LORD is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance,” 2 Peter 3:9.
