Ignorance is Damaging!

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…..”

God didn’t say because they have no knowledge, but they are in the lack of it.

It’s just not sufficient to guarantee their freedom.

There is a degree of knowledge we get exposed to that will permanently put to death ignorance and it’s consequences off our lives forever but sadly, many reject it and have become slaves of their own ignorance….

Keep Religion Far Away From Me!

I arrived the office this morning and had a brief fellowship with my staff.  Then one of them criticized a lady wearing pants (trousers) and quoted Deuteronomy 22:5.

 “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.”

I told him I believe that scripture, but not just that verse alone.

Looking at him, I asked if he was married and he said yes.

Then I proceeded to ask if his wife was a virgin before marriage and his answer was a no.

“Bring her out let’s take her to her father and stone her to death as commanded in same chapter of Deuteronomy,” I said to him and to the others standing by.

Silence….

You could hear a pin drop.  No body knew what I was talking about anymore…..

You see, there are certain teachings which are Old ‘Testament-ally’ correct, but are erroneous in the New Testament.

I am afraid to say, that most of the people raised in our fellowships are religiously inclined.

The New Testament is God’s prescription for us, because the New Testament is Jesus Christ.

He is the perfect image of the invincible God…. “He that has seen me has seen The Father!”

Leaders, please let’s raise God’s People after the order of Jesus Christ.  He is the highest order and none other….

“If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and detests her, and charges her with shameful conduct, and brings a bad name on her, and says, ‘I took this woman, and when I came to her I found she was not a virgin,’ then the father and mother of the young woman shall take and bring out the evidence of the young woman’s virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.  And the young woman’s father shall say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man as wife, and he detests her.  Now he has charged her with shameful conduct, saying, “I found your daughter was not a virgin,” and yet these are the evidences of my daughter’s virginity.’  And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.  Then the elders of that city shall take that man and punish him; and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought a bad name on a virgin of Israel.  And she shall be his wife; he cannot divorce her all his days.
But if the thing is true, and evidences of virginity are not found for the young woman, then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel, to play the harlot in her father’s house. So you shall put away the evil from among you,”   Deuteronomy 22:13-21.
