I believe that this is an hour where indeed God has and is releasing mantles for new assignments and anointing His servants to accomplish the GREAT EXPLOITS ahead for this end time harvest.

I also believe however, that in all this, the condition of our hearts, our attitudes will be determining factors in us being promoted and graced to moved to the next level.

Why do I say this?  Because to be “anointed” and to be “gifted” is vastly different.

There are many operating in the gifts but are not under the anointing of the Holy Spirit because the anointing oil is highly priced and comes with a process of stripping and tearing down that many are unwilling to pay for and undergo…

I sat at my job the other day, one of my usual places where the LORD would deal with me and I faintly started to smell something like “oil.”  I sat still trying to capture the scent when suddenly I smelt something sweet, but that too was faint.

So it was like a mixture of the two.  Immediately, “ANOINTING OIL” came to my Spirit and the LORD start to speak to me, or so I perceived, so I started to search for scripture concerning the Anointing Oil.

I then found (Exodus 30:17-33).  God tells Moses how to mix the oil, (Exodus 30:23-25)

“Also take for yourself quality spices – five hundred shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much sweet-smelling cinnamon (two hundred and fifty shekels), two hundred and fifty shekels of sweet-smelling cane, five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil.  And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil” (NKJV)….

I think that the different ingredients apply to our everyday life as believers if we ought to be “Anointed.”

Myrrh, cinnamon, cane, cassia and olive oil.  Example: Myrrh is a necessary ingredient in embalming fluid; it is also used as a purifier.

In our walk with the LORD, we must be cleansed and purified from our sins.

Cinnamon is a spice used to add a sweet smell to the anointing oil.  As we continue to walk in the Spirit and exude kindness, and love, of Christ that “sweetness” becomes automatic.  Scripture says Walk in love,”

“As Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma,”   Ephesians 5:2.

Cane also is sweet and that’s why I believe God would intensify the “sweetness.”  Especially knowing that the temptations would come to cause us to become vain and bitter.

Cassia.  The branches of the cassia herb retain moisture and must be planted in a swampy area near the banks of a river in order to survive.  So it is that as children of God we must be planted deep in the “Living Water” in order to experience the anointing of God.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.  For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

God is clearly intentional in all He does and being a Christian for how many years does not determine the anointing placed on you or how rooted you are.  It’s the trials and difficulties you’re willing to face and overcome, the pruning and processing one is willing to undergo, the pressure and beating.

Being anointed doesn’t come easy.  Like I told someone today,  “It’s excruciatingly painful, especially emotionally and spiritually….  One has to, like an olive plant, be shaken fiercely, you fall at times.  Then you’re beaten and crushed for your oil to flow.  Then after all the hurt you’ve endured, it’s that same oil dresses others wounds.”
