Our Opinions and Prejudices Can Influence Our Prophecies

“And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,” 1 Corinthians 14:32.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning,” James 1:17.
The gifts of God come down from above in all purity and there is no variance in them.
Everything that God creates is good, and yet man is an imperfect vessel who would contain those divine gifts from God.
Those who operate in the gift of prophecy, and even more so, those who are called to the prophetic office, should know, of the importance of emptying themselves of all malice, unforgiveness, and slander, before they would attempt to hear from God.
If we are to hear from God in all clarity, then any bitterness or ill feelings towards another must be presented to God.
“Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,” Matthew 5:23.
I wrote this message some four years ago and I find it to be as true now as it ever was.
It’s so important for those who speak and write things prophetically, to be aware of how our own thoughts and prejudices come into play.
A mountain stream can become polluted very easy simply by allowing debris and contaminants into it. Once it flowed as a clear, beautiful, mountain stream, but soon that water can become dark and dank.
When we sit and wait for the flow of God’s Spirit to come, allow the Holy Spirit to empty you of all thoughts and feelings that may hinder your ability to hear from Him.
Wait patiently and don’t add to what is said. Get into a place where there are no distractions, and tune your ears so that the outside world with all of its noises are diminished and gone.
Then that still, small voice can be heard, but don’t confuse it with your own, and take your time before Him, allowing Him to speak fully.
This is even more important for those who are more recognized on a global scale, because many follow after them.
Very soon many flock to hear from someone whose words seemed to ring true, but then little by little, other opinions and thoughts are interjected within the messages.
People somehow forget to discern the differences, because it just must be true. Don’t just follow something because it is popular and supposedly “main-stream” in many Christian circles.
Remember that the prophets of old were not really accepted.
Now we are in the midst of perhaps the most important and contested elections in our country, and many have come forward with various prophecies that confirm one candidate over the other one.
One could wonder what is true among all the voices that have been speaking. With many of these messages that have come forth, one could very easily jump upon their favorite prophetic wagon and pick one word over another one.
If a prophetic person is obsessed with the fear of man or anything unholy, then they cannot fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
We must be careful then, not to prophesy according to what is popular, or what others have spoken, simply to be in agreement with them.
If one does this, then they are in danger of polluting the very gifts of God forever in their lives.
And God’s gifts come down from above and are not altered or found with any shadow in them. But the shadows and variance, comes from the vessels that would contain those messages from God.
When one is aware of their own thoughts and opinions, and then offer these up to God in prayer, then the Holy Spirit can begin to speak with more clarity and purity.
Then the river that flows from God’s throne is not polluted, nor is it a mixture.

Hallelujah for your courage, Prophet Hanson, to speak the truth which may not make you popular amongst the “prophets” of our days. You are truly the modern day Micaiah who “will speak whatever the Lord says to him” (1 Kings 22:14). He was the minority in the company of the “prophets” as well, because he was a true prophet speaking God’s heart. I thank God for you.
I believe the Lord uses the prophetic ministry in the church age primarily to edify the saints, to exhort, to rebuke and to build the saints until we all come to the knowledge of the Lord.
“ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” Eph 4:12-15 .
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”2tim.4:2.
Beyond this how saints are going to receive the prophecy of the day we are given guidelines such as,
““But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.”1cori.12:31.
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.1cor.13:1-3
“Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”cor.13:8.
“Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
But if any man love God, the same is known of him”.1Cor.8:1-3.
“ And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity” 1 cor.13:13.
God is Love. The greatest commandment is Love.” If ye love me, keep my commandments”Jn.15:14.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”1 Jn.5:3.
Amen! Truth! We must ask the Lord to search our hearts and create in us a clean one before we ask Him to reveal His word for us. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Seek understanding from a place of humility, not confirmation of our own agenda. The counterfeit is only too happy to step in with a word when we carry arrogance, pride and fear. May we repent and these things not be so in our lives.

And it is so easy to see what is spoken from personal opinion or preference …out of a heart that is contaminated by this world system…bringing forth words according to the latest news development.I believe God’s Word has been established and declared long before a news update. Thank you Brother Hansen for allowing God to flow through you the way HE does, bringing forth the words of life, warning, and instruction.
Amen it seems like manipulation/witchcraft in A LOT of what I have seen posted…and again WE ALL WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT FOR EVERY IDLE WORD SPOKEN…I thank you for writing this. This whole election definitely uncovered the “hearts/character” of many.
