In this season I believe that God is saying, “Pay attention to the checks!”

Many times The Holy Ghost is trying to warn us of impending danger not to go beyond the checks, and because of our human emotions, we are lead astray with our emotions.

But in order to be Spirit-led, we have to surrender our own emotions to The Holy Ghost to lead us and to take control of what we think and feel that the flesh is saying to us, as the people of God.

“Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the flesh weak.”   Matthew 26:41.

This portion of scripture came after Jesus had been praying to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane and had found the disciples sleeping instead of praying, and He had admonished them to stay awake and pray with Him, but their eyes were so heavy that they kept falling asleep — and they slept right up until the time the armed mob came to take Jesus away.

If we are not careful, Satan will do the exact same thing today!

He will place you in a state of slumber and before you know it, your spiritual eyes will have been put to sleep — like it did the disciples!

These ‘checks and balances’ that I am referring to, are there to reveal both what The Father is doing and what the enemy is doing, to keep us from falling prey to the works of darkness!

As I was meditating upon The LORD, He highlighted this scripture,

“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of ALL things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him.”   1 John 2:26-29 KJV emphasis added.

Satan can not lead us down the wrong road, except we stop abiding in Him, because He has given us His Spirit to lead and to guide us in all Truth!

Not by our fleshly emotions…. but The Holy Ghost!

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”   James 1:14.

God have mercy upon us, as the world has begun to wax eviler and eviler, and the love of many has begun to wax cold.
