Reach Out! Touch the Hem of His Garment!
“…And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him” Hebrews 11:6.
Ever been in a place where it seemed like the heavens were closed over you like a brass sheet? It seems that you can’t get an answer or breakthrough from God. Sometimes we feel disconnected from God and the atmosphere seems empty and void of the presence of the Lord.
No matter how we have tried to get help in our warfare through ourselves and others, it still seems that our issues are still getting the best of us. Sometimes it can linger for what seems like forever. Those issues and trials seem like they will never go away regardless of what we do and how we pray. Oh, but thank God there’s a blessing in the pressing!
Just like the woman with the issue of blood when she heard Jesus was coming through. She had overwhelming faith and pressed beyond the crowd and the traditions and was determined to just touch the hem of his garment! And just like that woman, we have to press against all hindrances and obstacles that stands between us and the Lord!
We can’t give up on pressing against the issue no matter how defiant the Satan and his stronghold seems to be! We must be more defiant and determined to get our breakthrough from the Lord. Greater is he, that is in us….than he that is in the world! No matter how long it has been, don’t give up and don’t give in. There is a blessing in your pressing.
When the Master sees that you are determined, your faith will cause Him to come your way! Go on, and keep pressing, persevering and praying until you reach and touch the hem and the heart of the Master!
“…and, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: for she said within herself, if I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned Him about, and when He saw her, He said, “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.” And the woman was made whole from that hour” Matthew 9:20 -22.

Yes Geraldine, a very important lesson for others on the healing that Jesus did at that time when the woman was physically able to reach out and touch the hem of his garment. This was a very important sign for all of us but especially for women and so many others need to know that this can also be possible in our present time through reaching out in Faith and trust in the power of the risen Christ Jesus.

Luke 18:1-14
Amplified Bible (AMP)
18 Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to [a]turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
2 He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man.
3 And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary.
4 And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man,
5 Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me [b]intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or [c]at the last she come and rail on me or [d]assault me or [e]strangle me.
6 Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says!
7 And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He [f]defer them and [g]delay help on their behalf?
8 I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [[h]persistence in] faith on the earth?
9 He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves and were confident that they were righteous [that they were upright and in right standing with God] and scorned and made nothing of all the rest of men:
10 Two men went up into the temple [[i]enclosure] to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee [j]took his stand ostentatiously and began to pray thus before and with himself: God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men—extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers—or even like this tax collector here.
12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I gain.
13 But the tax collector, [merely] standing at a distance, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the [k]especially wicked sinner that I am!
14 I tell you, this man went down to his home justified (forgiven and made upright and in right standing with God), rather than the other man; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.
