Should We Obey God and Man at the Same Time?
The answer is yes, if possible. Let the truth reign in our hearts and lives.
This question I asked is not a contradiction. It can be done up to a point.
Good morning.
This song lately has played in my head a lot. I wondered why it keeps coming back to me?
I do believe God was trying to show me something.
Let me just say, it was a little puzzling at first.
You see, I have not been into watching Westerns much, since I was a teenager and a young woman.
( The Holy Spirit can use anything He wants to speak to us. )

JESUS is the only flawless One who ever lived without any sin.
As we know, He was All God. Then at the same time, Jesus was All man!
That’s why nothing can clean us up and save us from our sins but His precious blood!
“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” Hebrews 9:22.
Now in frontier times, someone had to come into town and clean up that had been given ‘authority’.
Still in all times it don’t change. We have to have ‘law’ and ‘order’.
Without any laws and the enforcing of them, (which would be the order) there would be complete and utter chaos everywhere.
We even see that today, with the police being bashed and disrespected many times.
There have been many uprisings here in my own land of America.
Don’t let a few corrupt officers cause us to throw away our police forces!
We need them. That subject is too long here to get into, but you see my point.
Then we see that God sets up kings and He also takes down kings.
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” 1 Samuel 15:23.
“he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:” Daniel 2:21.
The government is on His shoulders.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6.
Still where does it cross the line, of who to obey?
There has always had to be government and authority set up. We are to honor that.
The answer is when mans law contradicts God’s Holy laws!
We are to Obey both, if possible.
Still we are to do so only if we don’t compromise and sin.
The higher and ultimate authority, then is always to be honored, even if it cost us.

These scriptures brought out everything on honoring God & man(authorities). Mama, you were very right when you said we must honor the laws put in place by the authority if they don’t contradict God’s words/ordinances. 1 Peter 2:17 puts it this way; “Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King. I pray we will all fear God & Honor HIM more than the way most of us honor man(men, kings, earthly authorities etc). Thanks so much Mama.

Many people dont know or rather refuse to know that It always pay to obey God. Unfortunately, many have thrown away God & His son, our Lord Jesus Christ! They have embraced man made gods(Baals); chosen to listen to their friends; made laws contrary to the sovereign God’s laws & because of riches/power, some have made themselves demi gods/goddess to be idolized by men in the societies. The everyday up side down chaos we see right now in families, churches, schools, economic, politics, entertainment industry etc in the nations of the earth is as a result of our disobedience to God. May God help us all to obey Him wholeheartdely in Jesus name. Thanks Mama
