SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 8/29/14
Prepare yourself to go with the flow of My Spirit.  I will take you from peace to peace as you follow My leading in the days ahead.  Trust Me with everything.  It is time to begin to move into the new season by letting go of all that does not produce life and strength, says the Lord.  Be brave; be strong, for I am with you.
1 Corinthians 16:13   “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/28/14
Watch for small signs that indicate the beginning of breakthrough in various areas of your life.  You are not out of the woods yet, but take encouragement that you are chipping away at things that have represented hindrances to you.  Keep moving ahead, taking one step at a time, until you achieve complete liberty, says the Lord.  Let freedom become tangible.
James 1:25   “But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/27/14
Have you listened to Me as I have advised you to stop worrying?   And, have you ignored the wisdom of this advice?  It will do you absolutely no good to continue to fuss over things that you have no control over.   It only demonstrates weakened faith.  Let freedom reign in your circumstances by trusting Me with things that cause you to be stressed, says the Lord.
Matthew 6:30-34   “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/26/14
Harvest time is upon you, says the Lord.  You will begin to reap a harvest from the spiritual seeds you have sown, but the enemy has also planted things that you will need to deal with first.  I will show you the things that have tried to overtake the goodness and bounty of this season if you will quiet your soul and be sensitive to My leading.
Matthew 13:30   Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/25/14:
It’s not the end of the book, but there are chapters in your life that are about to close.  Do what is necessary to bring closure to areas of your life that have not only been unproductive, but have also been painful.  Now is the time to break free into the liberty that will be necessary before you can move forward.  Do so with confidence, says the Lord, for I am with you.
Luke 4:18   “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/22/14
When you fail to accomplish what you set out to do, refuse to see yourself as a failure.  Rather, see failure as an opportunity to make a course correction instead of sinking in the mire of condemnation.  You are Mine; you belong to Me.  I am with you to show you the way to victory, says the Lord.  Be strong and courageous.
Philippians 3:12   “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/21/14
My desire for you is to walk in the light and to express My glory on earth.  It is impossible for you to do this when you are consumed with the darkness of the world.  Be righteous, and become the most true, authentic version of yourself possible.  You can only do this when you have personal experience in vital relationship with Me, says the Lord.
John 7:18   “He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/20/14
You, who are in darkness and despair, step into the light of My presence.  Come to Me.  Do not obsess about the things that plunged you into hopelessness.  Look up and re-establish yourself in a place of faith and trust, says the Lord.  I will bring you through this time of trouble, but you must believe and take the first steps of liberation.
Psalms 27:13   “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/19/14
Stay in step by not getting ahead or lagging behind.  I am setting a brisk pace for moving forward from the place of spiritual stagnation.  Maintain a constant gait as you stay close to Me, says the Lord.  Awaken now from marginal consciousness to be quick and alert.  Let new life spring forth that will overcome all darkness and complacency.
Ephesians 5:14   “Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS  — 8/18/14:
If you want to be involved with Me in the process of time and live with Me in the end of the age; if you want to be one with Me and go on the path that I have set before you; if you want to be directed by My Spirit and desire to receive the fire, then it will be yours to have.   And I say to you, My children, the transforming power of My Spirit that rests upon you in these days will indeed bring you forth into the glory of your destiny.  Do not be afraid or be anxious.  I would have you rise up in Spirit and let the transforming glory come upon you.  You will be changed from day to day into My very image, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/18/14
I am preparing you for the days ahead by strengthening you and giving you greater resolve to take appropriate actions to make things right in your sphere of influence.  Remember that you can only exercise authority where you take responsibility.  Stay within your boundaries and allow My wisdom to guide you in all things, says the Lord.
Ezra 10:4 “Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage, and do it.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/15/14
Everything is going to be all right.  I have given you this assurance in the past, but I am bringing it again by way of remembrance.  You will move into a more powerful spiritual reality that will result in destiny fulfilled.  Your destiny will not be haphazard or partially fulfilling; it will be rich and deep.  The process has begun, and I will bring it to completion, says the Lord.  Trust Me!
Philippians 1:6   “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 8/14/14:
In a vision I saw a group of people walking around blindfolded.  They were aimless because they could not see where they were going.  Each one had the ability to take the blindfold off, but they were afraid.  To see clearly would mean they would have to assess their current position and make course corrections that would require solid decisions.  My sense was that they would rather be victims of their blindness and justified by their helplessness than to take responsibility for their condition.  I heard the Lord speaking to their hearts to trust in Him to bring them out of their bondage.
Isaiah 42:16   “I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/13/14
I am perfecting your faith through opportunities that come with challenges.  Your responses to these difficulties will define the level and strength of your trust in Me to perfect those things that concern you.  You will be required to persevere and move through this time with faith and grace, says the Lord.  Be strong and courageous.
James 1:2-4  “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/12/14
You have been in the fires of affliction to be purified and refined like precious metal.  The sin and impurities in your life have risen to the top of your life where you can see them clearly and deal with them appropriately.  Do not despise this process; it is exactly what is necessary for you to be transformed into My image, says the Lord.
Isaiah 1:25   “I will turn My hand against you, and thoroughly purge away your dross, and take away all your alloy.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/11/14
Life becomes tedious at times, but you need to rise above weariness by re-focusing on your spiritual walk.  Stir up a fresh interest in your vital and tangible relationship with Me, says the Lord.  Lift your vision higher!  Deliberately draw near to Me and experience the reality of My kingdom.  It will be good!
Colossians 3:2   “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 8/8/14
Work through the temptation to be overwhelmed.  Look at what is immediately before you and take first things first.  If you look at the whole picture, you are likely to get bogged down in the scope of your responsibility.  You have not been given more than you can handle, but the way you deal with it is key to your success, says the Lord.
1 Corinthians 10:13   “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/7/14
Set yourself apart from all turmoil, and dedicate yourself to My purposes and the assurance that I know you; I know your name, your current situation, and your challenges.  I have heard your prayers.  Be at peace and trust Me to lead you through the maze of circumstances that you now face.  Do not be afraid; I am with you, says the Lord, and I will show you the way.
Isaiah 49:15-16  “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.  See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/6/14
Maintain vitality in spiritual reality, and refuse to get stuck in the issues of life.  This is a time when you need to rise above emotional responses and all things that keep you in bondage, says the Lord.  It is My desire that you walk in freedom in all things. Systematically extricate yourself from everything that opposes and prevents your complete liberty.
Proverbs 4:23  “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/5/14
Growth is the epitome of incremental change, and your desire for spiritual growth requires change.  The only thing holding you back is your resistance.  You can’t keep things the way they are and grow at the same time.  Something has to give, and that would be your will.  Be willing to let go of everything that has outlived its usefulness in your environment, says the Lord.
Philippians 3:13   “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.”

THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS  — 8/4/14:
Do you understand the power of the cross?   It was the power of the cross, the cross on which the blood of Christ was shed and afforded you the opportunity to be sinless —  a son of God.  The power of the cross points the way to victory.  The Blood covers your sins and gives you an overcoming nature by which you can live in a position of victory.  So, be victorious, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/4/14:
Be still and sense the glory of My presence, says the Lord.  I am drawing you closer so that you can gain greater spiritual perception.  I want you to see and understand what I am doing now and in the days ahead, but you must quiet your inner chatter and let Me fill you with light.  Let go of the things that stand in the way of peace.
Psalms 46:10a   “Be still, and know that I am God.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS  — 8/1/14:
I want you to view this as a new day, a new time, and a new order.  Put troubling things behind you and look for new opportunities to better express My kingdom.  I speak not only of the realm of the Spirit, but also of the natural realm and your sphere of influence.  This is a time when simplicity will be of greater importance than complexity, says the Lord.
2 Corinthians 1:12   “For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.”

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin – August 2014 — 1 Comment

  1. I recently found your website. I appreciate your encouragement. Us believers are in dire need of encouragement due to brokenness, hardship, and difficulties.  Plus we have gifts and we are learning to walk with Him; but we have to take heed how we hear. I like to hear Marsha for some reason. Maybe because she speaks to the personal believer whereas other articles talk about the whole global thing.  And I like the Father’s Heart Ministry website too. I read it daily. Sometimes the word is so accurate for me specifically; it brings great calm and breakthrough.
