How can you rule and reign with Me in My kingdom when you cannot rule over your own soul?  I have given you the power to overcome the works of the flesh and all the power of the enemy, says the Lord.  But, you must exercise that authority in order to be free and effective.  Be diligent to do what it takes to walk in liberty of spirit, soul, and body.
Romans 12:21   “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

You are embarking on a new phase of existence, and spiritual understanding is vital to your well-being.  If you will quiet your inside chatter and listen, I will give you wisdom and instruction.  You cannot hear My voice unless you take control of your thoughts and emotions.  I want to be able to lead, guide, direct and protect you, says the Lord.  Be calm and yield to My leading.
Psalms 131:2  “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.”

Nurture your sense of thanksgiving.  Deliberately develop a grateful heart, because in so doing you will open the door for greater blessings.  Grumbling and complaining will hinder the flow of good things in your life, says the Lord.  This, for some, will take considerable effort to establish new attitudes and patterns of behavior, but it will be well worth the hard work it takes to overcome negativity.
1 Timothy 6:6   “Now godliness with contentment is great gain.”

Watch and be aware that the enemy will try to draw you into old traps.  The result of falling into the same trap over and over again will result in your inability to move forward as you encounter one dead end after another.  Now is the time to pay attention and to learn to avoid the first step that leads you down the wrong path, says the Lord.  Stay in the flow of My Spirit.
Ecclesiastes 9:12   “For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, like birds caught in a snare, so the sons of men are snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.”

Beyond all of your expectations; beyond all that you can understand; beyond all that you can know — this is how I choose to bless My children in ways you cannot even perceive.   Rise up, My people, and cast off doubt.  Remove double mindedness.  Respond in faith to that which I have spoken and receive the blessing of this season in a glorious and unique way, for I call you this day to be blessed, says the Lord.

Don’t give up!  The difficulties of recent days will pass, but you must press on.  Keep moving forward seeking Me for wisdom and guidance.  I will lead you through this valley of shadows and bring you into a place of peace and safety.  Trust Me in all circumstances, says the Lord, for I will lead you to victory.
2 Corinthians 2:14   “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”

In a vision, I saw someone walking on a path through a rich, green forest.  He had a leather pouch with a drawstring and was moving slowly and carefully looking for something along the path.  Then, I saw him picking up gemstones that became visible as he went.  There were diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and other kinds of gems that he put in his bag.  I believe that these are the hidden riches and treasures of darkness that God has spoken of.  They represent divine revelation revealed to us when we seek to understand.
Isaiah 45:3   “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by name, am the God of Israel.”

Do not be hasty.  Take it slow and easy–one step at a time to avoid making mistakes that you will regret.  Evaluate every situation and be sure that your choices are correct before moving forward.  Deception of any kind can derail you and take you off course.  I will give you the ability to achieve a heightened state of awareness that will make things a lot easier if you will yield to My work in you, says the Lord.  Lean on Me and depend on the wisdom that I give you.
Proverbs 3:5   “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding.”

Many of you, My people, are trying to force your will in certain situations to bring about the change necessary to achieve your desires.  But, you would do well to trust Me to bring about opportunities for change that will not only benefit you but those around you.  Everything done through selfish ambition will result in unrighteousness, says the Lord.  Allow Me to reveal the flow of My Spirit.
Galatians 5:19-21  “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”

Regardless of what comes at you, I am with you to bring you through to clarity and victory.  Be strong and resolute, and refuse to allow fear or panic to take you out of the flow of My Spirit.  Take whatever time is necessary to quiet your thoughts and emotions, and then ask for wisdom about your next step, says the Lord.  I will show you the way.
James 1:5   “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns  — 1/19/15:
Get up! Get up and go! Move towards the finish line. This race will take you through the process of your destiny so that you will understand it in ways that you have not known before.  Enjoy the victories along the way, and become a mighty warrior in this season. For, I have written victory over your name and it shall come to pass. If you will only believe, you cannot fail, says the Lord Most High.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns   — 1/19/15:
In your quest to find your people, those with whom you can feel connected, expect awkward moments.  Transparency is not your first choice, but you must develop relationship with others through trust and compatible values.  Your relationship with Me, says the Lord, is sacred and intimate.  And, it must be protected from those who would desecrate what is holy for the sake of their own desire for attention.
Matthew 7:6   “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns  — 1/16/15:
Take a close look, and you will see the flaws that could thwart your plans. Incremental adjustments now will result in the changes necessary to achieve your goals, both spiritually and naturally.  Do not be afraid to find your own errors.  Error does not diminish your character, but gives a place for courage, humility, growth, and personal depth.  Seek Me for wisdom in all things, says the Lord.
Romans 5:3-4   “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns  — 1/15/15:
Release yourself from the stigma of past failures and disappointments.  Refuse to see those things as being an embarrassment to you.  But, think of all things–difficult or not–as opportunities to see spiritual reality, to learn valuable lessons, and to know Me better, says the Lord.  Nothing is wasted in My Kingdom.  Everything that you encounter serves a purpose.
Romans 8:28   “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns  — 1/4/15:
Step out of the shadows and walk in the light.  Evil forces abound and seek to take advantage of any weakness.  I will give you wisdom and the discernment to know the difference between good and evil, says the Lord.  Do not be afraid.  Let Me lead you in the way of righteousness and peace, and I will keep you under the shelter of My wings.
Psalms 61:4  “I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah”

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns  — 1/13/15:
In a vision I saw an old and completely dilapidated house.  The foundation was cracked the exterior siding was rotting, and it needed new windows and roofing.  The interior of the house was badly damaged and in need of repair.  I watched as the cracks in the foundation were filled in, and the exterior of the house, roof and windows were replaced.  In the interior, the wiring and  plumbing were repaired, the walls were replaced and painted, and the appliances were upgraded.  What was once condemned became a beautiful habitation.  And, the Lord said, “Behold, My House!”
Ephesians 2:19-22   “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns  — 1/12/15:
Believe and receive.  Step out in a place of faith that brings victory.  I will do exceedingly and abundantly above all that you can imagine.  No one will be left out of this process.  You are about to enter the season of victory in all areas of your life.  The windows of heaven will open and pour out the blessings of this season upon you, and you will know My love in a new way.  Please remember that you can press into the vitality of My presence and receive healing in your body, spirit and mind.  For, this is a time when you will see the demonstration of the Kingdom of Heaven, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns  — 1/12/15
You must find the place of peace and strength in My presence regardless of the difficulties you face.  Refuse to give in to the temptation of discouragement and despair.  Some things are inevitable, but if you will trust Me to bring you through, your faith will rise to a level that the enemy of your soul cannot touch, says the Lord.  I will set your feet on higher ground where you can withstand any onslaught.
Psalms 118:5   “I called on the LORD in distress; the LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.”

Take advantage of this time of new beginnings supported with abundant grace. Think back and remember the times that I have rescued you, and know that I am not finished.  If I delivered you in the past, I will do so again.  Do not be afraid of the unknown nor fear failure, but put your complete trust in Me to lead, guide, direct and protect you, says the Lord.
Psalms 32:8   “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

Many of you, My people, have become disoriented because of extraordinary activity around you or in your own lives.  Sometimes it seems like you have become fragmented or separated from your spiritual convictions.  Now is the time to quiet yourself, reconnect with Me, and reactivate your faith, says the Lord.  When you do that, you will be able to access by faith the grace that you need to continue on with confidence that I am with you.
Romans 5:2   “through whom [Jesus] also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

There are still issues that need to be sorted out before you can break free from troubling circumstances, but on the whole you have come a long way and have accomplished a great deal.  Refuse to allow the last nagging details to steal your peace and keep you from strong faith in Me to show you what you must do next, says the Lord.  Onward and upward!
Isaiah 50:10   “Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His Servant?  Who walks in darkness and has no light?  Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon his God.”

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — 1/5/15:
It is time for My people to rise up and receive the fullness of that which I have promised in My word.  For, the signs of covenant promise have been given and they are coming to My people.   And, with the flashing light of My right hand I will be with you and I will motivate you and I will move you in the fullness of this season.  It is My purpose for you to go higher.  It is My purpose for you to have complete victory over every situation and over every circumstance that the enemy will bring against you.  Now is the time to make the choice; now is the time to make the decision.  Will you walk in victory or will you allow yourself to be a victim?  Choose this day whom you will serve and follow Me on the road to triumph.

MALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns  — 1/5/15
You can accomplish extraordinary feats if you will just hunker down and set your heart on success.  Do not be deceived; it will not be easy.  The enemy of your soul will endeavor to hinder your momentum.  Use the authority I have given you to defeat his purposes and to do what I have set before you to do, says the Lord.
Luke 10:19  “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Identifying the Season (2015)

On a recent road trip two words came to me: legendary and epic.
Those two words came just before arriving at our destination where I saw a sign that read, “Legends of the West.”

So, the season we have just entered will be epic, legendary, and marked as supernatural.

Upheaval in the Nations:

In a vision I saw utter, heart-breaking devastation in cities and towns in the Middle East.  And, I asked the Lord, “When will this end?”  He answered, “It will end when everything that is destined to be destroyed is destroyed.”  And, I heard Him say that it would end when the indignation is past.

Then, I was reminded of Psalm 137:1-4  “By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept when we remembered Zion.  We hung our harps upon the willows in the midst of it. For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, and those who plundered us requested mirth, saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”  How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a foreign land?”

“Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past”   Isaiah 26:20.

“And it shall be, if they say to you, ‘Where should we go?’  then you shall tell them, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.  And I will appoint over them four forms of destruction,” says the LORD: “the sword to slay, the dogs to drag, the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy”   Jeremiah 15:2-3.

Then, I asked, “What will follow this destruction?” He said, “An awakening beyond the scope of anything that has ever been seen.”

I am reminded of the very first time that I entered the presence of the Lord.  I had heard someone mention the end of the world in the days prior to my encounter with Him, and I was troubled by that concept.  So, I asked, “Is the world coming to and end?”  He said that the world as we know it would come to an end.  I asked if there would be a World War III.  Again, the answer was affirmative.  Then, I asked my final question – where would the war begin, and He answered that it would begin in the Middle East.

In the history that is being written in these times this could very well be the beginning of the end.

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6 “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
8 “All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
<10 “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 “But he who endures to the end shall be saved”
  Matthew 24:3-13.

Instruction for the season:

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.
8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him”
  1 Thessalonians 5:6-10.

This season will present opportunities to interact with History supernaturally.  It’s going to be big-the stuff that legends are made of.  But, we individually must stay focused and not be distracted with temporary and trivial pursuits.

Small Straws:

“I am doing a supernatural work in you, My people.  If you will get up to the highest point of your own desire and ability to seek My face, I will take you higher spiritually and give you greater freedom of movement. You will see and discern with unprecedented clarity and become one with Me in purpose — moving with power and precision,” says the Lord.

Keep yourself in righteousness and honor.  I have provided for you sanctification and have set you apart for Myself, says the Lord.  Protect your commitment.  Be established in My kingdom through dedication to My purposes.  Refuse to allow the enemy to steal your peace or undermine your spiritual position.  Set a watch for his shenanigans.
Stand strong in the face of adversity, for I say to you that challenges will come as devastation seems to rule the world.  It is up to each of you, My people, to establish righteousness and kingdom principles where you are — in your life and circumstances. You will do this through choosing good over evil, says the Lord.  Set yourself apart to reflect My character and nature.

Consider where you have been, where you are now and where you are headed.  If your life seems to be on a path that has departed from spiritual commitment and consecration, you will need to make a course correction before it leads to destruction.  Let Me direct you in the way of righteousness and peace so that I can bless you,  says the Lord.

The next phase of your spiritual progression is beginning to unfold.  Position yourself for the greatest benefit of the season by getting your priorities in order and developing righteous values.  Move away from self-absorption to consider and esteem one another.  Be honest and righteous in every area of life — relationships, finances, goals and desires.  I am the light that will guide you through the darkness that covers the earth, says the Lord.

Don’t expect justice, but we never cease to give it.

You have made good progress, but you must continue to press on until you have complete break-through.  Otherwise, you will find yourself slipping back into old patterns of thought and behavior and lose what you’ve gained.  Be diligent, and continue to seek My face for fresh revelation and spiritual insight.  Growth is a sure sign of life.  Stir up your desire and reach beyond where you are now.  You have much to give and much to do, but you must realize that accomplishment comes in small increments.  Consistent, small steps will result in covering a lot of ground.  Don’t get discouraged with what will seem like slow progress.  Just keep moving.  Leave past failures behind.  Do not dwell on the mistakes you have made or unpleasant outcomes.  You must not become a victim of regret; think about your experiences as opportunities to be strengthened in faith and to trust Me, says the Lord.
Micah 6:8   “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”

You can begin again with a clean slate. Come before Me and release all things that have kept you from spiritual progression. Choose to live life in the Spirit, and rise above the things of the world that weigh you down and keep you from all that I have for you. Make good choices in your sowing and you will reap a good harvest, says the Lord.
Galatians 6:8   “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
