SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/31/14:
Establish and maintain good boundaries. You belong to Me, and your spiritual structure will cause you to be strong and will give you the ability to stay on course. Refuse to be drawn away from what you know to be a standard of excellence regardless of the pressures to compromise. Your worth is not measured in human terms of acceptance, but in spiritual terms of sacrificing carnality, says the Lord.
Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/30/14:
Opportunities will present themselves, but you must discern a real and beneficial opportunity from that which is just a distraction. Ask Me for wisdom with regard to every new and potential situation. Do what is right and good, and endeavor to avoid traps of the enemy that will take you off course, says the Lord. Use good judgment.
Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/29/14:
In a vision I saw a sort of land mass that was being pulled apart; a large part of it represented the past and another large part represented the future. They were being separated one from another by a very thin land bridge. We were on that bridge that was getting thinner by the minute, and I knew that it would soon break so that there would be no way back. We were pressing on quickly. I realized that this was a picture of where we are currently — still in transition, which causes us to feel unsettled and precarious, but we have to let go of the past and reach forward to what is ahead. Things will not always be this weird, so keep it moving!
Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/28/14:
Life is short and time is precious. I have separated you to Myself, says the Lord. Your separations from others rarely feel good, but they are necessary for your growth and development. Don’t lament what is past, but rather learn and progress. The events of your life are designed for your eternal, spiritual perfection. Stay focused.
2 Corinthians 6:17 “Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.””
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 10/27/14:
I am bringing you into a season of divine fulfillment — a season in which you can grow spiritually. It will be a season in which new understanding will come out of the teaching of My word and bring forth the power of the Spirit. You will embrace the Word in a fresh way that will produce revelation to cause you to be greater than you are today. You don’t have to ask Me to increase your faith; you just have to ask for direction and believe that I will show you the right way to go. And, you will have the complete assurance and guarantee that I am bringing you into the fullness of what this season has in store, says the Lord.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/27/14:
The way has been made for you to live according to the dictates of My word and purposes for you. The only thing that can hold you back is your carnal nature. You must desire My kingdom, see the truth, and follow where I lead. I have given you the ability to overcome any obstacle that would keep you from complete unity with Me, says the Lord.
John 17:22 “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/24/14:
I am bringing you, step by step, into a more solid position of faith and purity. Be done with superficial religiosity, and rise above carnality to walk in true relationship with Me, says the Lord. Be filled with My Spirit so that you can bear the fruit that transcends natural tendencies. I am calling you to come up here; to come higher in your spiritual walk.
Galatians 5:22-23b “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/23/14:
It is My desire to see you walk in truth. Righteousness, obedience, and freedom require the ability to know the truth. Deception can only come when you do not love the truth. Just because you believe something does not make it true, and your faith cannot work in deception. The standard is My word and your relationship with Me, says the Lord. Be honest and true.
John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.””
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/22/14:
Allow Me to mold you and remake you. I want to remove everything that opposes truth and righteousness. Will you put yourself in My hands without protecting your offenses and secret sins? Will you humble yourself under My might and power to transform you from being natural into being spiritual? Release yourself from the past and truly become Mine, says the Lord.
Jeremiah 18:2-4 “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/21/14:
Cry out from the depth of your heart. Reach up and let Me pull you out of every darkness of the soul into light, truth, and life. Your eternal self must rejoice in My availability to you when you reach and search. Consider life in transition, change and transcendence. Yield with nothing held back; nothing that I cannot touch, have or possess in you, says the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 10/20/14:
I hear the Lord saying, “Come on, stand up, and be counted. Come in to that which I am providing in this season. Let your faith arise and reach out to receive all I am doing in this time. The times are changing for your benefit. Receive that which I am doing, so that I can you the give goodness of this new place. Believe and receive.”
Psalms 27:13 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/20/14:
Some of you, My people, tend to trust Me for the big things, but not the little things. And, some trust Me for the little things, but not the big things. But, I want you to begin to deliberately come to a place of faith and trust in all things. Depend on Me for wisdom, direction, and the power to overcome, says the Lord.
James 1:6-8 “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/17/14:
Be aware that you are likely to be uncomfortable and even indecisive in this season. There will be a sense of urgency to figure out what to do. You will be tempted to get drastic and be radical in changing your direction. However, you must persist and stay on track. Refuse to get upset. Maintain peace, stay calm and have faith. This is all about learning to trust Me in the midst of chaos, says the Lord. Stay the course and see My handiwork.
Psalms 9:10 “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/16/14:
Weep and mourn for those who once walked with Me and have turned again to their own foolishness. Their eyes have grown dull and their hearts have grown cold to the reality of My kingdom. Everyone, hear My call to wake up and know the times and seasons and understand the futility of carnal living. Stir up your faith and rise again to acknowledge My presence and power. Trust in Me, says the Lord.
2 Peter 2:21-22 “For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.” ”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/15/14:
Make the effort and take the time to establish sure footing. Even though My word stands forever unchanged and I remain the same, there will be new protocols regarding the assignments that I will give you in the days ahead. There are things that you need to know and understand before you forge ahead. Discernment and finesse will be required before you can fulfill all that is purposed for you, says the Lord.
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/14/14:
Examine your life and determine the aspects, both spiritual and natural, that cause you to thrive. You must protect those components from any form of destruction if you are to obtain a sense of safety and security. Your foundation must be solid spiritually before you can build anything that can withstand the onslaughts that come with time and circumstance, says the Lord. Be deliberate and diligent in your construction.
Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 10/13/14:
I hear the Lord saying, “Come into the abundance of My love. Do not believe the lies of the enemy, for they will steal from you the promises that I have made. Come fully into My love. Allow Me to lead you and guide you in this season. Allow Me to be one with you. Allow Me to show you that you can prosper and that you can live every day of your life in victory. Allow Me to bring you to that place of peace, in Me, and all things will then work together for your good. Live under the rule of My kingdom in absolute love, joy, peace and unity with Me.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/13/14:
You have begun to reap the harvest from what was sown during the beginning of the season that is ending. Some will experience great favor and benefit while others will endure hardship. Others will fall somewhere between those two extremes. This is a time when you would do well to learn the lessons of the harvest, says the Lord.
Matthew 13:23 “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/10/14:
Watch for feelings of ambivalence. When you are uncertain and do not know which way to turn or what to do next, you would do well to wait for My direction, says the Lord. Do nothing until you are more settled. You might also get mixed signals from others that keep you from knowing where you stand. Refuse to overreact to what people do or say. Stay calm and be at peace.
Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/9/14:
Breakthrough at this time is not a singular incident as much as a process. It is a marathon rather than a sprint. Stay with the process until you know that you have broken through the barriers that have hindered you, says the Lord. Be diligent, and I will give you wisdom and will strengthen you to do all that is necessary at this juncture. Continue in your faith.
Psalms 31:24 “Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/8/14:
Survey your environment, and take time to assess current conditions. You will need to quiet your inner chatter in order to be objective so that you can see, hear and discern spiritual reality. Allow My presence to permeate everything in and around you. Let your faith become the primary resource in life. Only then can you act according to My will and purposes, says the Lord.
James 2:26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/7/14:
To those who have taken a wrong turn and have gotten on the wrong track, I say it is not too late to make a course correction and get back into a solid place spiritually. What’s done is done. You cannot allow past mistakes to define who you are or where you are going. Make a concerted effort to get right spiritually. You must be righteous before the rest of your life will fall into proper order, says the Lord.
Isaiah 60:21 “Also your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.”
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS — 10/6/14:
Stand up My people! Shake off the dust of that which has come against you. Declare to yourself that you will rise above all that is a hindrance. For, I am calling you in this moment to come forth and come out of all oppression, all depression, all doubt and discouragement. Believe fully in Me. I will provide the power of your faith, says the Lord. Faith becomes a substance as you stand fully upon it to receive that which you need in this season.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/6/14:
Whatever comes your way, get on top of it as quickly as possible. Don’t let the enemy’s tactics get you down or keep you down. I have given you authority to gain the victory over every attack. Trust Me, says the Lord, to lift you up, strengthen you, and cause you to stand strong. Just don’t be afraid.
Hebrews 12:12-13 “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/3/14:
You are entering a new phase of existence where you have a tendency to feel disoriented. In order to re-establish firm footing in this new spiritual environment, you will need to stay spiritually aware. You must pay close attention to the details of where you are and what you do and still see everything through the eyes of the Spirit. This may feel like multi-tasking, but it will soon become your new normal, says the Lord. Refuse discouragement.
Proverbs 10:25 “When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/2/14:
If you are going to move ahead in spiritual progression, you cannot allow the past to define your future. Set yourself to begin again now with a fresh, clean slate–uncontaminated by past failures or even past victories. Let kingdom truth mold your new life, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. Establish yourself in vital, intimate relationship with Me, says the Lord. This is freedom!
2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS — 10/1/14:
Now is a time when you can make the necessary adjustments to get back on track spiritually. Your course correction will come when you focus on that which brings life, vitality, and eternal perspective. The requirement is that you move deeper in the flow of My Spirit, says the Lord, and stop puddling around in the shallowness of religious exercise. This is not about getting by, but reaching beyond your grasp.
Philippians 3:13 “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.”
