As I heard The Spirit of The LORD speak, “You want another Word, you shall have one.
First the sweet. I AM sweeter than the very honeycomb child/ daughter. Tell My People, quit waiting to find out! Try Me and see if I tell not the Truth.
Did I not say in My Word I would see you through all things, My People?
Many are on a precipice, a falling off cliff, if I don’t stop them. They have no hope, no joy and are about to sell out for a Song.
What does that mean? The ‘Pied Piper’ plays a different tune and you will follow him if you’re not careful.”
“Luxury — living in a style of comfort and ease is what, My People!
The beauty of the Great Whore is trying to allure you, My Children, My little ones. Resist, steadfast in the Faith. Post the Scriptures, My Daughter.”
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while*, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5: 8-11 emphasis added.
“You want the truth? It will Cost you, but it is absorbent. Meaning the truth will make you free.
You ‘absorb Me’ and all of Me, and you will not desire the things of the world in an untimely manner.
Surely you must have worldly goods, but they must not Consume you.”
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32.
“When you are out in the world, the beauty of the great whore will try to speak to you/ allure you. Resist her for she tells a tall tale. It is lies of which I speak. The corruption in her is through lust.”

“And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” Revelation 17:18.
“Avoid her at all costs. Keep your eyes focused on Me always, even in the stores. There is a compelling to gaze upon her longer than necessary.”
*May I caution you all. Stay with the Written Word always, backing up a Prophetic Word!
Much is out there, but it ‘must’ line up with the Pure Word of God, or junk it! I do the same. No one has it all and we are fallible.
Still, when you try the spirits, don’t throw the Rhema Word out, if it is true and lines up with the Written Word of God, spoken in love, as there is so much deception out there!
We must stay steadfast in our LORD with our focus and gaze always to be on Him.

The pied piper is a good image, because his power came from the spell that his music had cast, analogous to a snake charmer. A similar word to “spell” or “charm” is the “allure” in the title.
Most of contemporary Christian “worship” music is alluring in appealing to the soul as the secular music which it seems to emulate. It may pack a powerful emotional punch, relating to the soulish side of humankind, thus making it more imperative that we rightly discern between soul and spirit. This music encourages the false, “if it feels good, it must be right” mentality that has dogged the church, which distracts from the importance of sound doctrine and the warning of Proverbs 14:12 that
“There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”
Thank You Mark, as I always value yours and others input! Most of the way down the line I agree with you. Spot on about the Pied Piper. You seem to be a person you can seriously discuss differences with others. As in music I do love a lot of Contemporary praise but not ALL of it!!
Some songs to me get entirely too worldly! We sure have to be careful what our ear gates listen to. It’s the Same with some Southern & Country gospel, I feel.
While I am from the South, some sounds like a bar room sound, even.
Still old writers and hymn songs can be good, with a beautiful message! Yet, if our heart is open, some new singers today, can really hit the heavenly notes!
We all are so different and different styles of music appeal to us. Let us not be bound on one hand with legalism or the other hand with just anything goes. We must balance it all in the Kingdom Of God. The Lord will surely help us. God bless you.
I thank you, Joyce. I had cut my comment short but had particularly in mind the kind of music, which as Andrew Strom said, is singing to Jesus as if He was one’s boyfriend. Not only does this give a false image of the Lord, but – as another topic – is a reason why masculine men feel uncomfortable sitting through a modern church service.
