The Crooked Church Walls, I Will Put My Plumb Line to Check the Walls…

 

The LORD begin talking to me about how the mishandling of the Word of God caused the house to be built tilted and distorted.

I was praying about continuing a series on the WORD OF GOD HAS FULL AUTHORITY.

As I prayed about the next teaching, He begin to explain that He was taking A PLUMB LINE and is checking the Churches to see if they are out of level with his Word.

This is a serious Word, because The LORD said that MANY CHURCHES WOULD FALL DOWN and many in them would be hurt.

There will be a REVIVAL AND EXPOSING OF ERROR in the coming days.

Now listen to the Words He spoke to me:

“See how very much my wall built without a plum line can be off.  What seemed very small in the beginning of the building has magnified a great distance from its beginning.

I AM most concerned about the discrepancy which has arisen from the unplumbed wall.

See how the wall leaned and watch the wall fall for it is now heavy on the top and puts great pressure upon its foundation.

Note the building of each wall; make sure the wall is straight, else it fall.  The existing walls which have been built upon My foundation are falling down and men will soon discover just how dreadful a ruin comes from small wrong measure.

You’re a builder Ken Dewey, do you not know after your remodel experience just how hard it is to build on to a tilting wall?”

The LORD did remind me about the day I rebuilt the Kitchen Cabinet years ago in the church parsonage while living in Ashton, Idaho.

The old house was very old and the kitchen was not complete with enough cabinet space for proper food preparation.

I proceeded to build another cabinet into a short space on the West wall of the Kitchen. As I begin laying out the cabinet, I saw that the floor had been laid out of level and the wall I was to attach the cabinet to was very much out of plum.

I worked for hours just to get a cabinet standing level to the room.  In order to do this I had to measure and cut each board special, figuring each cut to make up the distance the floor and wall was not of plum.

To do this I had to use a plumb line which I hung from the certain spot on the ceiling, to mark the outside corner.

When the cabinet was finished I could stand back and see just how great the floor was out of plum by the tapered board and cuts I had to make to correct the un-level floor and wall.

It was obvious to the naked eye that whoever laid out the original building had not used a plumb line or level to do his work.

I heard The LORD speaking about this again and He said:

“Is this not where the cabinet is in so many places?  See their distortion; see their fault.

Oh watch them fall hard, just because the first floor and wall was not laid out proper.

Oh how far a miss measure becomes a long way down the road from its beginning.”

The LORD did cause me to remember my training my Dad had given me many years ago on how to use a plumb line.

Carefully he went over the instruction with me about how the string hanging down must be properly waited with a plumb bob and how the plumb bob had to hang freely, without hindrance, until the plumb bob had completely stopped moving and stood still.

He said, “Remember your Dad said: ‘Do not mark the spot until the plum bob is still least you mark a mark off one side or the other, causing the upright line to lean.'”

He reminded me of what my Dad had said about how if a line was off just a fraction of an inch, by the time you went up 8 foot or more you would be off several inches!

A little ‘miss mark’ may be very small, and go unnoticed until you go higher….   then the distance will grow very quickly.

The LORD explained to me that this is what is wrong with the Church Today.

The men who laid out the walls of the Church [doctrines] did lay out wrong teachings which over the years have become even farther and farther from the truth.

Oh how far a Church can get from making a SMALL MISS MARK.

In time, will not that SMALL MISS MARK become a WIDE GAP?

This is why it is important to begin UPON THE PROPER FOUNDATION.

If one begins upon the proper foundation and lays his first wall out with a plumb line perfectly, the future building will remain straight, standing tall upon its foundation.

But many a Church or Believer did not build upon the foundation correctly.  Unfortunately, He said, the building will someday fall down or be judged.

The LORD spoke to me about the verses of Scripture in Amos 7:7-8 and said that this is what is wrong with so many Churches of today.

He said to me:  “I will place a plumb line upon their walls to check them to see if they are correct.

If I find them to be at fault, there will be changes made to correct their beginning and resulting error.”

Now read the verses:

“Thus He showed me [a vision], and behold, The LORD was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand [to determine if the wall was straight or if it needed to be destroyed].
The LORD said to me, “Amos, what do you see?”  And I said, “A plumb line.”  Then The LORD said, “Behold, I am setting a plumb line [as a standard] Among My people Israel [showing the defectiveness of the nation, requiring judgment].  I shall not spare them any longer.  [The door of mercy is shut.]
And the [idolatrous] high places of Isaac (Israel) will be devastated and deserted,
And the sanctuaries of Israel will be in ruins.
Then I shall rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword [and destroy the monarchy],”   Amos 7:7-9.

The LORD talked to me at length about how a Church which chooses false doctrine or teachings, that are not in the Word, and also adding things to the Bible that are not in the Word, will grow farther and farther away from the Truth as time passes by.

See how great a fire a little spark can start.

The LORD said because of this, we are right now experiencing all kinds of confusion and false teachings coming out of the Church in many places.

Many are teaching that it is not important to let a few things slide in order to please all the People.

Example: Many teach that God does not look at how a man or woman dresses.

In many places today, the immodest and unrighteous clothing has come into the Church, defiling the Church with a world view of show of the flesh.

It all begin with an attitude that God will not be offended by our clothing.

Another Example could be WORLDLY MUSIC IN THE CHURCH to please the People [young generation].

This Music opens the doors to IMMORALITY AND SIN in the Church [and many will not think anything bad about the lax sins].

But the greatest problem with allowing the World into the Church is that MUCH FALSE DOCTRINES [doctrines of demons] WILL ARISE AND DEFILE MANY.

Additional scripture to consider:

“For we are God’s fellow workers [His servants working together]; you are God’s cultivated field [His garden, His vineyard], God’s building.
According to the [remarkable] grace of God which was given to me [to prepare me for my task], like a skillful master builder I laid a foundation, and now another is building on it.  But each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ.  But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,  each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work.  If any person’s work which he has built [on this foundation, that is, any outcome of his effort] remains [and survives this test], he will receive a reward.  But if any person’s work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire,”   1 Corinthians 3:9-15.

I have written this Word in Obedience to my LORD.  LORD take this Word and bring it forth in the hearts of your People and expose that which is not built proper upon the SURE FOUNDATION.
