On the way to our old Church, we pass an Equestrian Centre. 

It has two to three large pasture fields adjacent to the indoor riding arena.  Nearby is a large solitary shed, or barn.

One of the fields lies against a measure of ground, which leads to a large valley, running horizontally adjacent to this field.  The valley is about 4 to 5 miles (6-8Km) across from height, to height, and something like 20 miles (32Km) long.

Earlier, whilst at a prophetic conference, I was shown the picture of a shed come small barn.  It was a similar type of shed to the one that was used to house an unruly horse in the film (1998) The Horse Whisperer, staring I think, Robert Redford and a young Scarlett Johansson.

Inside this dark, solitary small barn was a Horse.  The Horse was here because it had been misused, frightened and cast as a rebel, and had become unpredictable — sometimes stubborn — instead of cooperative and extremely resistant to attempts to get it to enter the world of man.  It had ‘spirit’, but off and on this horse’s spirit has been broken.

I was reminded of this at the conference.  All The Horse desired was freedom, freedom to be what he had been called to be, but his history and experience had made him somewhat unsteady and wild.  He was a beautiful Horse.

I saw in this vision that Father God did not want it contained and restrained in the way that it was.  His desire for The Horse was to see it run free, enjoying the meadows and the range, able to express its free spirit and to mix with others of its kind.

God wanted to remove the barn and fences of man and to set it free upon the heights of the valley; wanted it to be free to drink of the water and become free in its running and free in its spirit.

Father does not want to see His horses beaten into submission, nor handled incorrectly.

Father wants us all to forgive those who have handled us incorrectly, and where, as a result, this has caused us to handle others in a similar way, to forgive us for, doing the same.

Father does not want His Spirit in us — along with our human spirit — to remain broken and in pain.  He does not want us to be contained, instead of being maintained, groomed and fed; the basic requirements afforded us as “normal people,” part of the social herd.

Father does not want them controlled, but to become enrolled into the scheme and plan of things.

Sometimes in our humanity, experience or gifting, we get off on the wrong foot with people, and depending on where we have been, will find it difficult to engage in commands such as wait, canter, gallop, trot or walk.  Never mind get saddled or to pull loads.

As a result of this, we find ourselves being pulled apart, instead of being pulled together, or “pull yourself together,” when we are being pulled apart.

More often we find our social and public garments untied, exposing our shame, rather than being respected or treated with dignity, for the whip marks and scars we bear. Not that it is always our fault…. or indeed theirs.

The truth is, we and they need a Horse Whisperer.  Someone who, if you like, is like a Horse; who understands what it is we don’t understand; who knows the ways of The Horse and not solely the ways of man.

With such a person, a three-corded strand is not easily broken, for The Horse and the handler receive the strength and knowledge of The Whisperer…  This also prevents what we in the United Kingdom call in political circles “the three line whip.”

The Whisperer seeks to join, and not separate …

Ask Him what it is that He needs to join up.  Maybe that part of us that has become defensive and overprotective….  That part of us that remains angry and hidden, afraid to be gentle and loving and to share our role with our fellow man, afraid to trust and engage, not just with our fears, but also our delights and longing.

Our Horse Whisperer is someone, just like us, part of our creation, part of our structure, and we need to find the secrets of allowing Him to maintain us, especially when in contact with one another.

Ask what He wants to join up, ask what it is that He desires not to remain separate.

We may feel as if we cannot be with others, and because of who we are, have become accustomed to being alone and not kept with others of our kind or specific herds, so have become labelled as troublesome or seen as a loner.

Our experience is that man’s enclosure often leads to our foreclosure — the end of our hopes and desires — the cancelling and voiding of our life and vision.

It often leads to a sense of separation and any reparation, seems far away — perhaps even unthinkable — for some of us it’s practically unknowable

Maybe we have a tendency to dominate — not always out of impulse — but out of memory, for in the past we have been mishandled and that in turn led to domination.

We fear submission, because we feel that when we do so, the same will happen again.  Often, maybe invariably, we encounter being tricked, manipulated and even beaten.

Let The Whisperer — not the accuser — allay, cool and heal your fears.

“My fellow Horses, My fellow members of My Herd, The Herd of The LORD, I have called you by name.  You are Mine.

Precious and honoured are you in My Sight and I Love you.  I have always loved you and I always will.

But I ask you, please, please forgive them.  Forgive those who have done this to you, for I Forgive you when in your pain, fright and humiliation, you fought and did this to them.

Come to Me for them.  Come to Me for yourselves.  There is no need to harm yourself, others, or compound your hurt.

I AM here to help.  I have come and will come to you.  I will not leave you as orphans.  I will not leave you fatherless or alone, for I Myself will come to you.

Fear not little flock, fear not little herd, fear not little foal.

It’s The Father’s good intention and good pleasure to give you The Kingdom.  I will not leave you where you are, or even as you are.”

I sense Father wants us all for Him “to send The Horse Whisperers”, again and again…..

I sense He wants to train us His Way.  He, if He has not already done so, will send them into your life.

They may not always be the ones you expect them to be — but they are there, for He is there and where He is, His Kingdom is.

“Fellow Horses, fellow Noble Steeds, both foal and mature, I AM pleased to form My Offspring in you, but in you all.

Where you lack understanding to take up the task, ask and I will give it to you, for some of you already know that I have been training it into your own life.

I Love you all, each and every one of you.  But come, come, for My Work is much and there is more in you to complete and my means are many.

Come, that I may send you out into my fields, where you will find fellow strugglers like yourselves, be it in the valleys or the heights, or on its slopes or plains.

Come, for I have a Place and a Plan for all of you and all of them, whether great or small, whether large or little, whether piebald or chestnut, black or white, whether thoroughbred or carthorse.

Come, buy without cost, without price.

Come, drink freely and willingly of My Water that I may prepare not only My Daughter, but also My Bride.”
