The Judgments of God and Mankind — 4 Comments

  1. 4 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness [ignoring God’s law by action or neglect or by tolerating wrongdoing—being unrestrained by His commands and His will]. 5 You know that He appeared [in visible form as a man] in order to take away sins; and in Him there is [absolutely] no sin [for He has neither the sin nature nor has He committed sin or acts worthy of blame]. 6 No one who abides in Him [who remains united in fellowship with Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin. No one who habitually sins has seen Him or known Him.
23 but I see a different law and rule of action in the members of my body [in its appetites and desires], waging war against the law of my mind and subduing me and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is within my members. 24 Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence]? If your center of Christianity is not Jesus and faith in His ability and His conquest over evil so you are continually cleansed as you walk with HIM you will be condemned

    • Yes Jay our center has to be Jesus!
So many walk the wrong pathway but we know it is a straight and narrow way.
      God bless you.

  2. Mama, you have touched almost all i wanted saying. But let me add a few. Most Christians cover up with the phrase “Christ admonished us to love our neighbours as ourselves”. This is always misused that even when a Church member is in open sins, others who secretly practice such sins will quote these to make it look like they are saints, sympathetic & caring. This is cry of wolves. In order words, they are angry that you’re exposing their own sins through the other brethren & they will conclude, thou shall not judge. Another time they could quote thou shall not judge is on the ground that Jesus Christ welcomed sinners & everyone. They often failed to recall that those people who encountered Jesus Christ at first as sinners always had their sins forgiven & Jesus firmly told them to go & sin no more. This is always evident of a change of attitude/lifestyle & many at times, they followed Jesus as His disciplines. So where did most modern day Christians/believers come up with the phrase “welcome even hardened sinners who so wish to continue in their open sins without remorse or conviction to change from? This poses grave danger to innocent brethren who might be coopted into their sins in the Church if these unrepentant sinners are left unchecked on the basis of thou shall not judge”. Yes, the church needs to address this subject matter. Thanks Mama.
