The Unction to Function
A Word for the season
“The Unction to Function” — as that phrase came to me, I laughed, and I thought, “Oh Lord, I hope that was You, and if it was then I’m sorry but it sounds a bit twee!”
I heard that familiar chuckle, “I know how many people like a catch phrase, so I thought you’d like one of My catch phrases!”
I smiled and thought about it for a moment, but The LORD continued, “In this coming season, I will be tasking My People with things they will doubt they have the ability or capacity to fulfill.
That is when I will lay My Mantle on them. It is the mantle that carries the unction of My Holy Spirit to function in the way I need them to do so.”
He continued again, “There is a saying amongst you that ‘whom God calls, He equips’.
This is the fulfillment of that saying . To whomever I ask do something for My Kingdom, I will enable them and equip them to do as I ask — hence the phrase, ‘unction to function’.
Without that mantle, without that ability, without the unction, they will be unable to function as I ask them to!
So when you receive a tasking from Me, don’t fear nor tremble, don’t shy away, but ask Me to enable you to carry out that tasking in the strength and ability only I can give you.
Then step out in faith, and I will honour your faith and enable you to carry it through! Stepping out in faith is the hardest thing I will ask you to do, but when I give you the unction to do it, nothing will be able to prevent you from completing your task!”
This is Gods promise to us all today, and I encourage you all, if The LORD asks something of you, and you know that you know He has asked you, then trust Him and JUST DO IT — in the unction to function that He also gives you!
Remember David against Goliath; remember Sampson with the temple pillars; remember Moses striking the rock, or parting the Red Sea; remember Simon Peter walking on water.
All impossibilities until God enabled them to do it.
JUST DO IT!

I am guilty of doubting if I can do what He needs and wants me to do. I worry that I will fail.
Your word from Iosa, and yes I have heard Him and His chuckle…quite the sense of humour He has wouldn’t you say…but anyway, this word reminded me of all the other adventures He had me go on, the wilderness and the synchronicities that blew my mind…
When I remember them, I am reminded He gave me all I needed to complete the task at hand. And so He will again if He wants things done. For all of us serving Him
