To Be a Prophet One Must Learn to Be Alone
“In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there,” Mark 1:35.
“To be a prophet one must learn to be alone.
One must put themselves in a place where the things of this world will drift away.
One must open their hearts, eyes, and ears to the things of the Spirit. It is a lonely road at times — few would desire to travel upon it.
For it will break you; it will tear at your heart strings. And yet the joy of hearing and receiving My Word, can be greater than anything else in this world.
It will captivate you. It will cause you to see the plights of the world around you. You will ride upon the wings of My Spirit, and yet, there will be other times that you will be angered at the injustice all around you.
You will take your shoes off, knowing that you are on hollowed ground. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, or the season of the year, for you will always long to be in the courts of the LORD.
You will see the world racing on around you, and you will know that the time is late.
You will grieve at the loss of an old man that has just died, and yet you will see new birth all around you.
Many would long to go to a wedding feast, but you would prefer to go to the house of mourning instead.
For you long for the touch of wisdom upon your frame. You would speak your words in obedience, but would hope even more that men would take them to heart and receive them.
Many may long for the calling, and yet very few would take the mantle to walk out their days.”
