To Celebrate – Or Not?
Warning: People can write what they hear from the Spirit or they tell you they are being caught up in heaven.
Well, you can never check if it is true or not, or the Spirit must give you revelation about it. But one thing you can be 100% sure of: He never, never, never ever goes against His word!
May I share how I see this entire issue about celebrating Christmas or not… from my own experiences….?
First of all, when I was converted and baptized in water and spirit as an adult (baptized completely under water), I had a friend who invited us to be at their baby baptizing event. And we came and we celebrated with her.
I saw her standing there, convinced what she did was biblical. I will never ever forget how she stood there with her little one. The sun was shining upon her through the window of the church…
But I prayed in my heart she would find the complete truth. Not long after this event she came to our house, because she much was going on in her life. Papa used me to deliver her from some evil issues and He baptized her in Holy Spirit.
The day after she called me and her voice was loaded with His presence. “I am in love,” she said, over and over.
Not long after this, she was baptized in water as a token of her love for him! I never ever told her what to do. I waited on the LORD. If people are convinced that their actions are pure (doing it for the LORD) who are we to judge?
The only thing is, those He calls and He sends and where He ministers through and I know I am one of them, must share His Word as he gave to us in the bible.
Trust me, I loved Christmas and this is how He taught and convinced me that the tree and Santa and all the other stuff is following the ways of the world.
In 2005 we went to Israel and Paul, our dear friend, was talking to me about Sabbath. Abba was carefully opening my heart for the deeper things. So once in a while we carefully started to celebrate His set apart day. Than Paul said, “Catharina, there is not something you can do when you want it, and then stop doing it….?”
I replied, “Paul, if the LORD wants me to celebrate it every week, He will speak to my heart, as I am open for correction and I want to follow His ways.”
That same day I had an interview with Hannah Nesher as the Father had instructed me. As soon as we came to her house I saw a poster on her door with the commandments of our LORD. The word Shabbat jumped from that door into my heart. I could hardly stand on my feet.
The first Christmas after that trip, something peculiar happened. We were watching TV and we heard a ‘plop’ sound. Soon after another ‘plop’ sound and another and another. Out of the tree which we put up one day before, we saw the decorative balls falling down on the ground, one by one by one.
At the same moment, His Spirit convinced us that it was time to let it go. He took us higher on His mountain.
Just be open for traveling this pilgrim’s journey, with an open, contrite heart. Papa may your will be done!
Read His word also which He send out through His chosen ones, with a prayerful heart. He can minister in such loving kind way. He takes you deeper if you are willing. He does not force you. He wants us to follow Him willingly!
May your journey end in His complete will and his loving heart! And again, He never ever goes against His Word!
- A word without the Holy Spirit, is as walking on dry ground.
- Dwelling in His Spirit without reading the Word is dangerous. For you can come into heavenly realms where we are not supposed to enter!
The Word (Bible) and the Spirit (His living word Yeshua).
In His love so deeply connected!
Blessings and Shalom over you!
