Prophetic word, warning and prophetic word: Meribah
Hebrew meaning: “Place of strife,” two places in the desert.
Today the LORD impressed me to send out this deep warning! And I seldom asked it but now I do!
Read this entire Word prayerfully! And share it for it is truly a warning from the LORD!
There are two things going on in His body, His temple of living stones!
- Strive between His children.
(Titles, popularity, likes and sharing on social media but also in the churches and home-groups)
- Leaders who are seeking attention for themselves!
( they share the LORD’s word in such way that peoples attention is directed to them instead of the LORD! Being caught up in the spirit is his doing not the vessel who is chosen as an instrument in the LORD’s hand!!
Yesterday, I received a revelation of the LORD concerning Exodus 14:
The LORD will fight for you …. Exodus 14:14, I see this message all over the place
Let’s read it:
“Moshe answered the people, “Stop being so fearful! Remain steady, and you will see how Adonai is going to save you. He will do it today – today you have seen the Egyptians, but you will never see them again! Adonai will do battle for you. Just calm yourselves down!”
But then we read this:
“Adonai asked Moshe, “Why are you crying to me? Tell the people of Isra’el to go forward! Lift your staff, reach out with your hand over the sea, and divide it in two. The people of Isra’el will advance into the sea on dry ground. As for me, I will make the Egyptians hardhearted; and they will march in after them; thus I will win glory for myself at the expense of Pharaoh and all his army, chariots and cavalry. Then the Egyptians will realize that I am Adonai, when I have won myself glory at the expense of pharaoh, his chariots and his cavalry,” Exodus 14:15-18.
“Staff”: represents Yeshua (Jesus). We stay in Him and we show Him and honor Him and glorify Him and talk to the Father in Him, in His name, (prayer).
It also represents that we follow His lead through the ruach (Holy Spirit). Sometimes He will just say peace be still… Another time He wants us to proclaim and decree and declare His word. …
The battle is from the LORD and He will glorify Himself through it! That is why we experience many times that He saves us at the 11th hour, while the enemy thinks victory is here ….. But that one big move from our LORD changes the situation suddenly and effectively! Halleluyah!
When Moses lifted the staff (which represents Yeshua (Jesus)) the water divided in two!
Meaning: it showed us the difference between holy and unholy!
Word for the Sheep:
“Many of My children are still in great need of My word! Especially the meat out of My word! But instead of listening to those I chose to minister through, there is a haughty spirit at work.
Rebellion towards leadership and disobedience to Me!
As I AM the way, the truth and the life, you mix holy with unholy and profane!
You share other “gods” and their ways as if it is My Word and My ways and My truth!
You build yourself golden calves because you want to be someone! (profane fire)
You are someone! Mine! You are mine! In your great ignorance and your hunger for power you seek my truth in the wrong places!
Repent, repent, repent! For I will not come back for a Bride who is polluted divided and filled with rebellion! But a Bride without blemish spot and wrinkle!
Instead of being busy with your search for fame and power and wealth you better bow your knees and humble yourself!
So I can cleanse you and feet you with the meat out of My Word and show you My ways so you will change from polluted water into My best wine!”
Hebrews 13:17 Verse concepts:
“Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.”
Word for the Leaders:
“You are so busy with presenting My flock “your” power and your strategies and trying to get all the attention, that you forget one thing: Without Me you are nothing and you lead My sheep to nowhere! It is not your doing when I overshadow you with my presence! It is My doing! It is not because you are better or greater than the others, but because I have chosen you to be an instrument in My hands!
If you need to fast you do not tell it to others but you do it without showing it! If you pray it is not necessary to brag about that either! For if you pray in the spirit it is My work and My spirit and My doing!
If I impress you to share a word, it is not necessary to brag about things that are totally unimportant. Your task is to obey Me and show Me and draw attention towards me and allow them to grow in Me!
It is time to show My heart, which is humble and slow to anger and I have the attitude of a servant!
Repent, repent, repent for I AM is the shepherd, the apostle, evangelist, pastor, prophet and My servant leaders must allow Me to minister through them, without your hunger for money and fame and gaining name!
My Name is enough for I AM that I AM!”
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves,” Philippians 2:3.
Word for all of us:
“Many out there read part of My Word, and some never ever have read a bible in its entirely! They just have and read the New Testament, while the deepest lessons can be find in Torah (My feeding trough). You have changed Me into a god you want and you think you need! But I am who I AM and I AM still the same!
Grace is that the sacrifice you once had to perform is done with.
I replaced the sacrifice, not the law!
I want to write My law upon your hearts.
I want to impregnate you with My being and who I AM!
For I AM holy and you need to become holy!
Not by might nor by power but through My Spirit and while you rest in me, I will do it for you!
I need people who died to the flesh and whom I can fill with My ruach, My breath!
I need people who have Me in front of their eyes, and who worship Me alone!
My way, My truth, My life I offer you freely while I payed for it deeply!
Repent and turn back to Me with all you have!
Allow Me to polish you and shape you and remove the dirt I see in you so I can have My Bride in the way I want to see her! Without blemish spot and wrinkle!”
“Feed My flock with My Word and show them My ways! Not for own name or fame. Not for the love of money! Do not make a marketplace of My Father’s house!”
“Do not make the task I give to my leaders more difficult than it already is!Receive those I send ,as if you receive Me.
Pray for them and if you see things that are wrong, pray and I will show you the proper way how to deal with it!
Time to clean the house in the hidden corners so it will become spotless!” Thus saith the LORD!
“And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of god, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ …,” Ephesians 4:11-16.
“The saying is trustworthy: if anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?” 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
Yeshua’s teachings on fasting and prayer
He said that fasting, like prayer, should be done in private and not for show, (Matthew 6:16-18, Matthew 6:5-7).
The LORD’s prayer
“… so that your giving may be in secret. And your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men.
Truly I tell you, they already have their reward. but when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your father, who is unseen. And your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you,” Matthew 6:4-6.
Why was Moses not allowed to enter the promised land?
Answer: In Numbers 20:8, the LORD told Moses, “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”
Numbers 20:9-11 records Moses’ response: “So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as he commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, ‘listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?’ Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.” The LORD was displeased with Moses’ actions: “because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”
What did Mses do that warranted such a severe penalty from the LORD? First, Moses disobeyed a direct command from God. God had commanded Moses to speak to the rock. Instead, Moses struck the rock with his staff.
Second, Moses took the credit for bringing forth the water. Notice how in verse 10, Moses says, “Must we [referring to Moses and Aaron] bring you water out of this rock?” Moses took credit for the miracle himself, instead of attributing it to God.
Third, Moses committed this sin in front of all the Israelites. Such a public example of direct disobedience could not go unpunished.
Fourth, it seems that God had intended to present a type of Christ in this circumstance. The water-giving rock is used as a symbol of Christ in 1 Corinthians 10:4. The rock was struck once in Exodus 17:6, just like Christ was crucified once (Hebrews 7:27).
Moses’ speaking to the rock in Numbers 20 was to be a picture of prayer; instead, Moses angrily struck the rock, in effect, crucifying Christ again. His punishment for disobedience, pride, and the misrepresentation of Christ’s sacrifice was that he was barred from entering the Promised Land (Numbers 20:12). (Source question).
“He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, ‘Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?’” Numbers 10:10.
Massah And Meribah
Mas’-a, Mer’-I-ba (maccah umeribhah, “Proving and strife”; peirasmos kai loidoresis):
These names occur together as applied to one place only in Exodus 17:7; they stand, however, in parallelism in Deuteronomy 33:8; Psalm 95:8. In all other cases they are kept distinct, as belonging to two separate narratives. The conjunction here may be due to conflation of the sources. Of course, it is not impossible that, for the reason stated, the double name was given, although elsewhere (Deuteronomy 6:16; 9:22) the place is referred to as Massah.
1. First instance:
This scene is laid in Exodus 17:1 at Rephidim (which see) and in vs 17:6 at Horeb (which see). It is near the beginning of the desert wanderings. In dearth of water the people murmur and complain. Moses, appealing to god, is told what to do. He takes with him the elders of Israel, and smites with his rod the rock on which the LORD stands in Horeb, whereupon water gushes forth, and the people drink. Here Moses alone is god’s agent. There is no hint of blame attaching to him. He called the place Massah and Meribah, because of the of the striving of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD (17:7). In some way not indicated, here and at Meribah, god put the Levites to proof (Deuteronomy 33:8).
2. Second instance:
The second narrative describes what took place at Kadesh (i.e. “Kadesh-barnea”) when the desert wanderings were nearly over (Numbers 20:1-13). The flow of water from the famous spring for some reason had ceased. In their distress the people became impatient and petulant. At the door of the tent of meeting Moses and Aaron received the LORD’s instructions. In his speech of remonstrance to the people Moses seemed to glorify himself and his brother; and instead of speaking to the rock as God had commanded, he struck it twice with his rod. The flow of water was at once restored; but Moses and Aaron were heavily punished because they did not sanctify god in the eyes of the children of Israel. The “Waters of Meribah” was the name given to this scene of strife. The incident is referred to in Numbers 20:24, and Deuteronomy 32:51 (Merobhath Qadhesh, the King James version “Meribah-kadesh,” the revised version (British and American) “Meribah of Kadesh”). In Psalm 81:7 God appears as having tested Israel here. The sin of Israel and the ensuing calamity to Moses are alluded to in Psalm 106:32.
The place appears in Ezekiel 47:19; 48:28, as on the southern border of the land of israel, in the former as “Meriboth-kadesh,” in the latter as “Meribath-kadesh” (meriboth = plural meribath = “Construct singular”) where the position indicated is that of `ain qadis, “Kadesh-barnea.”
In Deuteronomy 33:2, by a slight emendation of the text we might read ‘meribhoth qadhesh’ for ‘meribhebhoth qodhesh’. This gives a preferable sense.
