What the Bible Says about Finances — 2 Comments

  1. I’ll add to the previous post; To be free from mammon means for example that you can never complain to your employer about your salary, you must leave it to God even if you consider your salary unrighteous or unfair. The same is that you cannot complain or require indemnity if someone hurt you, which also is the correct interpretation of how to “turn the other cheek” if someone hits you AND the understanding of Gen.14:22-23 which means that you shall not allow anything from Satan’s kingdom (this present world and its ways of doing things) “compensate” you.

“And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich”.

  2. If you still have a list on what you shall or shall not do to protect your finances then you are still ruled by mammon. To be free from mammon you must stop “bothering” about how to protect yourself from the loss of mammon. God can even force you to keep your debt as I for exmple was when I expected to in three months be free from it, then I broke my wrist and everything turned to the opposite,it increased. During this time God spoke many times and even “forced” me to take a tenant in my small apartment for to be able to pay my bills. Having a stranger in my home had never crossed my mind and before this I worried that I would be homeless and while I was thinking about it the Lord said “maybe you shall take a homeless into your home instead?” and some days later the homeless person that suddenly crossed my path moved into my home.
During the past years I have said to the Lord that I don’t longer want to pay tax to the wickedness that is happening in the society right now and because of my wrist (which, by the leading of the Lord,I did not allow them put titanium into) my income have decreased even more and I have still a debt and one day I asked the Lord how I shall manage to pay the debt with my present income, because I hate debts, and I heard the Spirit of the Lord say “you don’t pay much tax now”.

This example of allowing God alone to keep your wallet is the correct interpretation of Matth.19:20 because until then the “rich man” had in his own self righteousness followed the list of “how to do everything correctly” but in reality, he had never followed the Lord.
