I can remember being so excited about God calling me into ministry and sharing it with friends ~ all to be disappointed when I was rejected and mocked because of the stigma of being an apostle and especially, a woman!

One day I felt the unction to remove the title and so I prayed over it and I told God that if it was what he wanted, I was willing to give up the title if that’s what He wanted.  Just when I said that, He turned around and gave it back to me through the mouth of others!

I believe God was testing me to see if the title meant more to me than my intimate relationship with him!

I said that, to say this, many times God will take something away from us, just to test us to see the condition of our heart, just like he did Abraham!

What is blocking you from accurately hearing God?  

Did you know that many people allow these basic and simple things here on earth  I have discussed below in life, to block their oil from flowing and hearing God clearly:

• One of the greatest things we treasure that God gave to us is our family, which can become an idol.
• Ministry can be an idol.
• Money can be an idol.
• Your home and the things in it can be an idol.
• Your job can be an idol.
• Prophecy can be an idol.

But, I hear God saying that we must examine our hearts and release all the idols that have taken up residence there; even things that he has given to us in ministry; as well as our every day life.

“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt (test, try) Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.  And Abraham rose up early in the morning, (he was glad to obey God?) and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering,”

Some of us would have been late, said that God’s voice is the voice of Satan speaking, left the wood and made all kinds of excuses to keep from obeying God in offering up our only child?

“and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said unto his young men, abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, my father: and he said, here am I, my son. And he said, behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
And Abraham said, my son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:”

Bot knowing that he was going to be the sacrifice.  The LORD is going to try the hearts of many to see how much you truly love Him!

And, like Issac he will see if you are truly willing to give up all to take up your cross to follow him!  Issac never once hesitated but he obeyed God and did what God said without even so much as a “Why me LORD and why my son?”

“so they went both of them together.  And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.  And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, here am I.  And he said, lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son,”   (Genesis 22:1-13).

Release it because it all belongs to him anyway!
