As I was pondering in the early hours, I couldn’t stop looking at the beautiful flowers on my mantle piece.

It was bugging me that there was a gap and I wondered to The LORD Jesus, why is it bothering me so much?

I immediately thought of the Scripture on Jesus leaving the ninety-nine sheep that were safe and in his keeping, to look for the one.

I felt his heart as I pictured this little sheep, bedraggled, lonely, frightened and lost in the cracks of the cold and wet mountains.

His heart was crying with a quiet ferocity that broke my heart.

He was reminding me that no matter how beautiful these flowers are, how perfectly arranged, when there is a gap, we as his children are always reminded to fill it in with heartfelt prayer and revealing him to that flower that doesn’t realise it’s beauty.

That flower is needed and has a place in His Kingdom, to be revealed, seen and find its perfect place, where it can rest and fall in love with its creator and redeemer.

Are you that flower?

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?” Mathew18:12.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.
