It’s Time to Stop Mourning and Call in Our Prophecies
I heard a truly quotable quote this morning:
“It’s time to stop mourning past moves!”
My Spirit leapt within me when I heard it.
My tongue, my prayer language, started running non-stop.
The Holy Spirit quickened to me the Truth, that The Church, with regards to Revival, always looks backwards to what was, not forwards to what has been prophesied!
He reminded me that it’s been over 70 years since The United Kingdom has seen anything like a “True Revival“.
- The Hebridean Revival began in 1949 in the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.
- The Lowestoft Fishermans Revival began in 1921 on the east coast of England.
- The Welsh Revival began in 1904 in Loughor in Wales.
- The Ulster Revival began in 1859 in County Antrim in Northern Ireland, aka Ulster.
There have been many lesser moves of The Spirit, to which the word ‘Revival’ has been attributed, but these are the four latest moves of genuine Revival, in my opinion, in the four countries of The United Kingdom.
As we can see, it’s been many years since The UK had real Revival — depending where you look. Nationwide, Revival is long overdue perhaps?
And The Church has never stopped looking back and mourning the loss of Revival!
Just the phrase, ‘look back’, has some specific meaning attached to it.
The most well known of these is perhaps Lot’s wife who famously did so and promptly turned into a pillar of salt! ( Genesis 19:26)
I believe The LORD is warning us of the same result if we continue to look back so nostalgically upon these past revivals.
We must now surrender our memories — wonderful though they are — and focus upon the Words and Prophecies that we have received, and are still receiving, for Revival in our time!
In short, it’s time to Pray into and Call-in our Prophecies for such a time as this.
Read and Pray each Prophecy you have received for the coming Seasons.
- KEEP a Prayer Journal of your answers.
- LOG each Testimony as it comes in.
- PRAISE The LORD for each prophecy, each answer, and each Testimony.
- FULFILL your part of each prophecy, especially where repentance is needed.
- EXPECT fulfillment of each prophecy.
- EXPECT MORE THAN YOU DREAM OR ASK FOR,
- NO MORE looking back and comparing what is today against what was yesterday!
We’re all guilty of this! - NO MORE calling a great Holy Spirit meeting ‘revival’, but rather call it an anointed time that may eventually lead to revival!
It’s a sample perhaps of that which is coming! - NO MORE ‘guarding the memory’ of past days of glory and saying that anything different is not Revival.
- NO MORE carrying on with our own tried and tested Meeting as if they are Revival.
Look how long they’ve just given us a sample.
Don’t be satisfied — call for more! - NO MORE sticking to our schedules and denying the Glory and the presence of God.
Give the meeting to Holy Spirit and let Him loose to do what He wants to do and what Only He can do! - NO MORE separate ‘Junior Holy Ghost’ meetings for the young — they get the same anointing as adults — often greater because kids don’t inhibit Him.
- NO MORE separate meetings for healing or deliverance — they are all part of the same package that we call ‘revival’.
Follow Holy Spirit promptings!
All this — I know — granny and eggs!
But sometimes we need reminding of all God has promised us and given us!
The Holy Spirit has been reminding me, so I’m passing on the reminder to you — keep pressing in, keep wanting more because there’s always more!
The coming year is the year of fulfilled prophecy — if we play our part and get it right!
Expectancy is key to everything!
Enjoy The LORD more in this coming year than you’ve ever experienced before. He’s just waiting for you . . . .

Hi Miss Gwen,
LOL – We have an expression “You can’t teach your granny/grandmother to suck eggs”! It means similar to “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”!
Sorry for the confusion
God bless you
Awesome word! Thank you!
One question though. I know a good many British expressions, but… Granny and eggs? This one has me stumped. :D
