We Stand at the Door of Revelation
As we step into this year of 2026, I feel it will be a time of Divine Alignment to see as John the Revelator saw, and delve deep into the heart of God the Father, through the access of Jesus, His beloved Son.
The Father is inviting those closest to His heart, who lean upon His chest, to feel His heart beat, and who gets so close to feel His breath to come into His chamber, leaving the worries and the cares of the world, and everything that ties them to this earthly realm.
We are being called to set aside precious time, to linger in His presence and be still before Him.
To come up higher and enter heaven’s realm, and ascend above the chaos and the storms below.
After studying each verse and chapter, word and deed from Matthew to Jude, I have just entered The Book of Revelation.
I stood at this, the door of this Book yesterday, feeling a bit hesitant to enter it alone, just me and The Holy Spirit, with no interpreter telling me their perspective and interpretation of this most powerful book in the whole Bible.
But God pushes me gently, inviting me into a realm of deeper intimacy to “Come up higher!” and go deeper into places where only I am to go, a personal, holy place of great Revelation.
As I write this, I am interrupted by my little puppy at my feet, who has just started to chew at her toy and tear it a bit open and start to pull out the stuffing.
It is not a bad thing, she does as I see she is curious and has a nose that tells her to sniff things out and dig deeper.
I see that God is speaking through this.
I give her the toy back and let her explore. She will get at that ultimate reward, the squeaker. I hear a squeak here and there as she digs and chews at the toy, which is actually the head of an elephant.
“One bite at a time,” says the Spirit.
“That’s how you tackle The Book of Revelation.
As you enter in, release all fear and trepidation, and take My hand, for I have much to show you.
Come, My beloved, enter into My rest, and I will show you what has been, what is, and what is to come!”
We stand on the other side of the door that has no doorknob, no lock or handle. Jesus is on the other side, standing ready to welcome us into a greater measure of Truth, a mountaintop of glory. (Revelation 3;20)
…. And the only way to enter in is through our heart, saying “Yes”.
The door is voice activated. Jesus won’t force the door open.
But He stands and says, “The door is open. I AM The Door. Would you enter in?
Come, delve deeper into My Heart, and I want to show you more!”
For Scripture, I’d love to share Revelation 1:1-8 and Revelation 22:17-21.
Even so come, Lord Jesus, come.
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants — things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says The LORD, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”” Revelation 1:1-8.
“And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I AM coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Revelation 22:17-21.
Postscript
I look down and see my puppy has indeed gotten to the squeaker. She has pulled it out and jumps joyfully around throwing it in the air. I have her bring the toy elephant head to me and place a treat and the squeaker back into that hole and once more she digs for that nugget of reward.
So God gives us more and more truth. His supply is endless!
“Call on Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know not.” Jeremiah 33:3.
Blessings,
