Two Steps to Revival — Two things we must never again fail to do!
I am reminded of an account of events at our Church one weekend.
On two consecutive days we heard the sound of, and felt the presence of Ruach Hakodesh as He blew around our auditorium.
Just sitting contemplating, wondering why He didn’t manifest more, The LORD directed my thoughts to two things.
They both point directly at the things we DIDN’T do!

First I remembered Evan Roberts prayer, which was something to the effect of:
“LORD, I’ve laid the wood on the altar, it’s ready for Your Fire!”
He was calling on the Fire of God in much the same way as Elijah at Mount Carmel.
Then second, The LORD brought to memory a post I’d written earlier about preparing a runway for The Holy Spirit to land.
Two unconnected things. One a historical record of an earlier revival, and the other of, basically, a shared Vision!
Yet both somehow relate to the stirrings of Holy Spirit prior to the start of Revival.
1 When we were alerted to the sound and feel of The Holy Spirit’s wind blowing and whistling around our auditorium, we did nothing bar marvel and praise God.
2 We also didn’t invite Him to land on the ‘runway of Worship’ we had laid before Him!
When these signs manifest, I believe The LORD is waiting for us to do two things.
First, to open the way to usher Him into our meeting,
Then to CALL on Him to ‘light the fire that we have laid on The Altar’!
Just as Elijah called for ‘The God Who answers by Fire, He is The LORD’! (1 Kings 18:24)
And…. just as an aircraft approaches a runway, the pilot cannot land without permission to do so!
God is waiting for us to call upon Him, at that specific moment, to do whatever He wants to do!
It’s up to us to recognise His Presence — and then seize the moment and ‘open the gates that the King of Glory may come in’!

I honestly believe we have already seen the beginnings of Revival.
On two separate occasions —
We felt and heard the wind of The Spirit, Ruach Hakodesh, blowing around our Sanctuary.
We had felt Him move before — but to hear and feel Him as He blows on us is so powerful and precious too.
Then the worship was interspersed with moments of total silence and stillness — no-one wanted to move.
His presence became tangible for a while.
What we failed to do then was to call on him to Light The Fire…
and
open the way for The Holy Spirit to land or manifest among us!
It’s a mistake we must never make again!
More LORD please, we want more of You!

What came to mind also is an instruction God gave to a very active Remnant Warrior who raises the dead more often than any I’ve heard… “Every day, Call Holiness to The LORD! And, Welcome the Great Holy Spirit!”
