All I Have Is You
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
All I Have Is You
Today I picked up my cross
And another part of me died
Like a grain of wheat buried in the ground
I was dead to the world
He took me deeper; asked more of me
To sacrifice comfort
Calling me to serve Him
Calling me to follow His Path
Promising that wherever He is, I will be also
That that grain buried in the ground will not have been in vain
Yesterday He gave me marching orders
A little while after
I looked into the sky
I saw an eagle fly
It’s wings wide, soaring on the wind
He called to my spirit:
“Come on up; fly higher!”
All I have is now
All I have is what You give me
All I have is You
So tomorrow and every day after I die unto myself
Believing that what is sown does not come to life unless it dies
That a grain of wheat must die to bear fruit
So I serve selflessly with a giving heart
Loving Him, obeying Him, joining Him
In bringing hope, healing and restoration
In bringing His Kingdom here on earth…
All I have is now
All I have is what You give me
All I have is You
Only through surrendering and trusting Him
Only through dying to self more and more each day
Only then will my life be filled with abundance and fruitfulness
To be a vessel for His Glory…
All I have is now
All I have is what You give me
All I have is You
All I have is now
All I have is what You give me
All I have is You
So with a humbled heart
I let my life go,
Reckless in my love,
Knowing in doing so
I’ll have life forever, real and eternal…
All I have is now
All I have is what You give me
All I have is You
“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25.
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ Matthew 25:21.
“How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.” 1 Corinthians 15:36.
“Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal.” John 12:24-25 MSG
“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” John 12:24-26.
