America: The Revolution has BEGUN!

I want to say up front, that I have not made up my mind who I will vote for in this election and I truly don’t want to get into all of the political arguing that is going on.

I also know that this is not what some might want to hear right now, and that is alright, I understand wanting certain people to represent us.  I am the same way, but felt I had to say this at this time.

I also want to say that all I am about to say comes from a love for all the body of Christ and I want to see us all continue to be as effective for the Kingdom as God wants us to be.  I am however, very passionate about who will represent what God wants for this season!

For example, I can never vote for one who supports abortion on demand etc… There are issues that are 100% issues that we as Bible believing Christians must take a stand on!  That being said, I do not even like or enjoy doing these kinds of words, because I am not one that likes to argue about politics on my page, because I feel that my call is to say what the LORD is saying first of all and bring encouragement to those who read what I write.

However there is some things that sometimes must be said for the betterment of the body of Christ that are not so flowers and roses when it is going down..  So here goes… I hope you still love me when I am finished.

It’s amazing how people who say they are not intolerant, begin to label people when political seasons are upon us.  Names like uneducated, fools, etc… They say they are not divisive, but they are so divisive that they are willing to lose all of their friends who are not of the persuasion that they are, never caring that they offend many that look up to them.

This is the ultimate controlling spirit!  “If you don’t vote for who I vote for just unfriend me” they say.  It just makes me sad and it shows me how truly shallow their love is.  If you truly have to say “Our People,” then this leaves out many who you don’t consider “Your People.”  This in itself is divisive to me.

I heard one candidate today trying to appeal to a certain people group saying that “White people do not know what it means to ever be poor.”  I beg to differ with him and frankly THAT IS JUST A LIE!

To me, that is like saying, If you are white and poor, that you will be ignored…. That is just as divisive going the other way also.  This to me is the ultimate political spirit when putting one group against another for political gain.

Frankly, I am tired of that kind of politics and this is why so many are voting against the establishment!  I just so pray that people would think before they say these horrible divisive things as many are on both sides of this coin.  “Let love be your greatest aim,”  1 Corinthians 14:1.

“And Jesus ordered them, “Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod!”   Mark 8:15.

The yeast or leaven of the Pharisees was the religious spirit and the yeast of Herod was the political spirit.  If you are willing to turn on God’s true people as Herod did because of “YOUR PEOPLE” who are crying out against the people of your choice, then you have put politics over God’s word!  They are not “YOUR PEOPLE”  They are the Lord’s and they should be able to vote for anyone they feel that the Lord has shown them to vote for without fearing that you will unfriend them or reject them and call them names!

I don’t know about you, but that seems like bullying and control issues to me…  “I will unfriend you [on Facebook] if you don’t think like me, vote like me, do what I do!”

You do have a right to say what you want, but in the Kingdom of God division is not an option.

Pastors want to tell ‘THEIR PEOPLE” who to vote for sometimes, when it is God who should be telling them.  They can teach on the moral issues and let it lie and the people can make up their own minds, AND THEY CAN TELL YOU HOW THE MORAL ISSUES LINE UP WITH A CANDIDATES RECORD.

But what if they said to you, “If you vote for so and so just get out of my church now!” and yet this is what many are doing here on social media.  The sad part of that is, they may never hear anything else that you have to say again, that is going to cause them to grow in the Lord, even though you may have much to say!

Yes, sound an alarm about evil, but just be sure that you are not calling evil good, and good evil, lest you find yourselves kicking against the pricks, as Jesus told Paul when he thought that He was doing God a service, and Jesus knocked him off of his high horse!

What I am saying is … Sometimes what you think is right is just your political and religious persuasion, and not the will of the Lord.  It is time to ask Him what His will is!

Remember this thing will be over in a while and you may want them to be in your camp after it is over.  The other funny thing to me that some people groups do is think that if people disagree with them they are being divisive.  “If you don’t see it my way then you are the divisive group.”  How does that even make good sense?  The only thing that we need to stand on without wavering is the issues that affect us as people of the word of God.

“Brothers and sisters, I couldn’t talk to you like spiritual people but like unspiritual people, like babies in Christ.  I gave you milk to drink instead of solid food, because you weren’t up to it yet.  Now you are still not up to it because you are still unspiritual.  When jealousy and fighting exist between you, aren’t you unspiritual and living by human standards?  When someone says, “I belong to Paul,” and someone else says, “I belong to Apollos,” aren’t you acting like people without the Spirit?”   1 Corinthians 3:1-4 (CEB).

“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end,” Mark 3:24.

I just think when we are in a political season as God’s ministers, that we should teach righteousness and then allow people to make their mind up what candidate lines up with that.  The very reason that people are voting for some of these anti-establishment people, is because they are tired of these political groups and yes even religious groups, telling them who to vote for!

Many are shooting themselves in the foot when they ARE COMING AGAINST GOD’S PICKS TO DO THIS.  I am going to give you a little hint about doing that, “It is causing people to rebel against you and not hear anything else that you have to say!”

People, God has a plan and we must know what it is, but for now He told us to Love one another and PRAY!  Those that Jesus picked were NOT who the religious leaders would have picked and by the way.  They were uneducated!

“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty,”   1 Corinthians 1:26-27.

All of us want “Our ISSUES” TO BE ADDRESSED, NO MATTER WHAT COLOR, RELIGION, ETC…  Here is the bottom line – All division is caused by fear, period!

If we truly trust the Lord to know what He is doing and to provide for us, and to fix our issues, then we would be praying more than we do instead of accusing.

One thing this election is bringing out in all of us is our deep seated prejudices and fears on all sides.  God told me two things more than a year ago about this election.

One, that we are going to see the difference between those who truly have relationship and those who are only religious in this election and,

Two, that we are going to see that He was our only true hope and change.

He is King and it is time we make Him the King that He is!

I will tell you one more thing that the LORD is allowing to happen right now and that is, He is uncovering and shaking up some of the corruption in both political parties that has needed uprooted and exposed for a long time!

Israel wanted a king and when they did God gave them what their soul wanted.  The King they got reflected the will and mind of the people at that time, even though there were many righteous.

Those who follow after the Lord will thrive, right in the midst of whatever or whoever is in office, but God has a bigger picture than us.  If we choose to do what is right He will take care of us as individuals.  I am here to tell you that.

I am as passionate as the next person on the issues and our country, but let’s take a step back and see what is at stake in the long run, if we lose our love for one another.  The only thing that we are supposed to be coming against is the works of the Devil!

IF IT IS CONTRARY TO GOD’S WORD, THEN IT IS TIME TO TAKE THE KINGDOM!  Your Kingdom Come Lord, on earth as it is in Heaven!

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,” 1 Timothy 2:1-3.

  1. Your word is right on point.  This election is a plumbline to seperate the sheep from the goat.  Religion vs. relationship.  Love vs. Hate.  You can’t love your brother and want to destroy him at the same time.  Love will conquer.  I’m looking forward to it!

  2. …”aren’t you unspiritual and living by human standards?  When someone says, “I belong to Paul,” and someone else says, “I belong to Apollos,” aren’t you acting like people without the Spirit?”

To me personally this verse speaks about that those who walk in the Spirit are supposed to not be involved in the unspiritual (dead works) which belongs to the world.
