Be Full of Light, Free of Darkness
There is so much darkness filling the earth and its people. Only JESUS, Who is The Light of the world, can dispel and destroy the darkness if He is followed.
As He has said, “I AM The Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have The Light of Life.”
The only way to be free from darkness is to have and be filled with Light.
So then, surely seek and have The Light of CHRIST in you and with you.
‘Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And CHRIST will give you Light.” ‘ Ephesians 5:14.
Carnality is what is meant by “the dead” in Ephesians 5:14.
“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be Spiritually minded is Life and Peace.” Romans 8:6.
Get HOLY SPIRIT-led Understanding
JESUS said: “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of Light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!“ Matthew 6:22-23.
The eye is one’s understanding (Ephesians 1:18). If one’s understanding is good (i.e. illuminated by THE HOLY SPIRIT with His Revelation Knowledge as Paul prayed for us in Ephesians 1:17-23), then one will be full of The Light of GOD.
The opposite happens if one’s understanding is bad (being plagued by “the spirit of error”, as John warned against in 1 John 4:1-6).
Most believers (and all unbelievers) have bad eyes (understanding), being largely deceived by “the spirit of error” — Satan.
We all have and battle some level of deception, which is why we get somethings wrong/ sin sometimes, being influenced by “the great dragon…, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9); he and his demons are constantly trying to get us ensnared in one way or another.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unRighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His WORD is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10.
To not get it wrong/ sin, we must do what Paul commanded: “Walk in THE SPIRIT, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16).
How do you walk in THE SPIRIT?
- Study, receive and do THE WORD OF GOD daily (James 1:21-25);
- In all things, at all times be led by THE SPIRIT (Romans 8:14);
- Ask and use The Wisdom of GOD for your glory (James 1:5; 1 Corinthians 2:7);
- Seek and do The Will of GOD in all things, at all times (Proverbs 3:5-7; Ephesians 5:17);
- By THE SPIRIT, put to death the deeds of the body, yes, crucify the flesh with its passions and desires (Romans 8:13; Galatians 5:24);
- By THE SPIRIT, set your mind on things above (Romans 8:5; Colossians 3:1-2);
- Walk with JESUS in everything, talk to Him, ask His Direction and do What He says (Isaiah 30:21);
- Only think, speak and act with The Mind of CHRIST (1 Corinthians 2:16; Matthew 16:23);
- Be mindful of The Things of GOD, not of men (Matthew 16:23);
- Yield and manifest The Fruit of THE SPIRIT (Galatians 5:22-23);
- Ask for Grace upon Grace (John 1:16). By Grace we are saved, by Grace we must do everything else in CHRIST;
- There are endless many more ways in THE WORD by which to walk in THE SPIRIT. Get them. Walk in them.
To not get it wrong/ sin, we must do what Paul commanded: “do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.” (Romans 6:12).
The Level of Light one has, directly corresponds to The Level of Righteousness (his obedience) he manifests in CHRIST.
The more we increase in Revelation, Obedience, Intimacy, etc. of and with CHRIST, the less we get it wrong/ sin.
Fervently pray often that JESUS The Light of the World, yes, THE LAMB should shine in you exactly as He does in The Holy City, New Jerusalem (Revelation 21: 23).
There are Two Aspects of The Light of CHRIST as taught by Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:4, 6.
When people believe, “The Light of The Gospel of The Glory of CHRIST, Who is The Image of GOD…shine[s] on them.” (2 Corinthians 4:4).
This literally happens externally in the spiritual realm. (However, Paul experienced this “Great Light” visibly on the way to Damascus when THE LORD stopped him in his tracks).
At the same time, upon our believing, GOD Who is Light, Himself shines in our hearts: “For It is THE GOD Who commanded light to shine out of darkness, Who has shone in our hearts to give The Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of GOD in The Face of JESUS CHRIST.” 2 Corinthians 4:6.
This is saying that, GOD Who commanded light to shine out of darkness in Genesis 1:3, Himself shines in our hearts to give The Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of GOD in The Face of JESUS CHRIST.
Thus, we are literally “illuminated” (Hebrews 10:32) externally and internally, exactly as a light bulb is switched on in a dark room.
No wonder, we are light in THE LORD. As written,
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in THE LORD. Walk as children of Light,” Ephesians 5:8.
Of course! “GOD is Light” (1 John 1:5), and so we His offspring are “children of Light” (Ephesians 5:8), yes, “sons of Light” (1 Thessalonians 5:5).
Indeed, our FATHER is called “THE FATHER of lights” (James 1:17).
Wherever we are in the earth at any point in time, we literally shine as light, dispelling the darkness. Our presence prevents, deters, repels the activities of evil spirits, quite like how police patrols deter criminals from committing crime.
This is one reason why we must only be/ go where He wants us to, being on Divine LIGHT duties. Therefore, always stay put where GOD has put you until He moves you.
Doing otherwise (as most people do by seeking and doing their own will), is to abandon post. And you will face GOD The Judge of All!
“For we are His workmanship, created in CHRIST JESUS for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.
“Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of GOD without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” Philippians 2:14-15.
Again, we are literally lights (being children of GOD Who is Light). And we shine to give light to the world as JESUS has commanded:
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your FATHER in Heaven.“ Matthew 5:14-16.
In the spiritual realm, we are like floodlights in a stadium, or the bright headlights of an oncoming vehicle in a pitch dark countryside. Darkness can see us literally shining.
However, each one’s luminosity depends on how much of The Light of CHRIST He has in him. How much of The Light of CHRIST one has depends on how much Revelation, Obedience, Intimacy, etc. one has of and with Him.
The closer one is to JESUS, the greater he reflects His Light and Glory. And the more he dispels and overcomes the darkness.
As children of GOD, we must walk in The Light exactly as He is in The Light so as to shine greatly, have fellowship with one another, and be cleansed by THE BLOOD OF JESUS from all sin.
“But if we walk in the light as He is in The Light, we have fellowship with one another, and THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7.
Be full of The Light of CHRIST, and you will be free of darkness.

Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
