Bring Our Souls Out of Prison, LORD!
Make Us Free at last!
Good morning.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36.
Many Christians today are wondering just which way to go on many things….
When you have a chance or opportunity to do good, then just do it!
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to The LORD, and not unto men,” Colossians 3:23.
Still if The Holy Spirit gives you an inward check, obey that leading. There is always a reason!
Recently I was able to share a few minutes at a local gathering at a Prayer Rally.
It is still All about souls to me, today!
May I interject here the dream I had many years ago.
Now getting back here: The next week I had a message that was burning on my heart really strong to share!
Although regrettably, I couldn’t go for health reasons and the extreme heat.
Many times as a Prison evangelist and Chaplain, I have seen the redemptive work of The LORD.
- Many souls are still bound on the ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ of prisons.
- Prison bars can be literally or spiritually.
- Sometimes they can be both!
- All Prisoners need to be set free in The LORD!
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah 10:27.

I cannot count the times I delivered this Chapter in person, or in writing to inmates.
“I cried unto The LORD with my voice; with my voice unto The LORD did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.” Psalm 142:1-7.
Also, this is a song I have felt led to sing many times.
May you enjoy it with me! Lynda Randle is singing it here.
Let’s deliver their souls by the true power of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of The LORD Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:17.
God bless you all.
