Some teach that Jesus can return suddenly at any moment of time now.

Does the Scripture teach this emphatically and should we be expecting Jesus to return, “At Any Moment”?

Well we must know that Jesus will come at the appointed time, a time that Jesus said His Father only knew, and he himself did not know.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:36.

It is therefore concluded that Jesus will only come at the time appointed of His Father.

It is noteworthy to consider that The Time is Appointed by His Father!

Next, can one openly teach that Jesus could come at any moment?

If the time is appointed, then we must know that there are events that must happen before the time of Jesus’ coming.

Events that must be fulfilled first before Jesus could even come.

Let us now list some things that must happen before Jesus will come back to Earth.

1. All Scripture Prophecy must be fulfilled before Jesus can return — such as the Great Tribulation Week of Years.

The scripture tell us all that Jesus will come after the days of Tribulation.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31.

2. Jesus will come only after he has opened up all Seven Seals found in the Book of Revelation.

It will be necessary to point out that the sixth [6th Seal] must open up and there come a great Earthquake that will shake the entire Earth.

No such Earthquake has yet happened that can and does fulfill this great earthquake.

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” Revelation 6:12-17.

Many earthquakes have happened, but never has any earthquake happened in the likeness of the great shaking of The Sixth Seal.

The LORD told me not long ago that we were waiting for the Opening of the 6th Seal and when that Seal has been opened there will be many earthly changes made which will effect everyone on this Earth.

Again we hear Jesus Himself talking about looking for the end-time signs and one must understand these signs to understand the Order of Events leading up to the coming back of Jesus to earth.

“He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, ‘It is going to rain,’ and that is how it turns out. And when [you see that] a south wind is blowing, you say, ‘It will be a hot day,’ and it happens. You hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders)! You know how to analyze and intelligently interpret the appearance of the earth and sky [to forecast the weather], but why do you not intelligently interpret this present time?” Luke 12:54-56 AMPC.

The mere fact that there were “Signs of the Times” to look for, proves that Jesus will only come at The Appointed Time.

Jesus cannot come before all the Signs are clearly seen and fulfilled.

Even then, after all the signs are fulfilled and all is done, yet many will not know or understand and they will be taken off guard when Jesus comes.

Jesus will then come as a thief in the night to those who do not understand.

Conclusion:

It is clear that Jesus can and will only come back to Earth after all the scriptures are fulfilled and all the pre-comming prophecies are fulfilled.

Jesus therefore, cannot come any time He wants to come, but even Jesus must obey His Father’s timing.

Watch for the Scriptures to be fulfilled….
