Don’t Be Afraid of the Wind!
I was watching an eagle nest today online. That nest is really high, about 150 feet up in the air.
The view was amazing. One of the adult eagles was perched on the side of the nest.
And as I watched, suddenly the wind picked up. It was a violent wind. I would say it was 40 or 50 mph and It looked like it was going to knock that eagle over or even blow him out of the nest.
I was thinking, “That eagle will probably hang around the nest until the wind dies down.”
But oh no, SUDDENLY, he spread his wings and took off into that mighty rushing wind and just soared upon it effortlessly! And I heard the Holy Spirit whisper to my spirit, “Don’t be afraid of the Wind!
Beloved. There is a Wind sweeping across the earth. A Wind of Change. A Wind of Cleansing. The Days are indeed stormy.
But do not be afraid. Do not fret about the demonic spirits being stirred up. It is My doing.
As an eagle stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, I will catch you if you fall and I will carry you when you spread your wings to fly.
Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of The Spirit.
The devil is in confusion. He IS afraid of the wind, My Child. He is afraid of you.
The Winds of the Spirit are blowing invisibly across the lands. You hear its Sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
Do not be afraid of the Wind. It is the Mighty Rushing Wind of the Spirit. I have made you to rise up and soar upon wings as an eagle in the Higher Realms of The Spirit.
I AM a Stronghold for the helpless, a stronghold for the poor in your distress, a Refuge from the storm, a Shade from the heat.
For the blast and the breath of the ruthless shall be like a storm against a wall.
As the Shade of a cloud cools the heat of the day, so I will silence the song of the violent.
I AM elevating you and empowering you. I have graced you with prophetic giftings to shift the spiritual atmospheres of your region.
I have summoned you like an eagle, like a powerful and majestic bird of prey to fulfill My purpose. The winds of chaos will not touch you, My Anointed One.
What the wicked one dreads will overtake him, but the desire of My Righteous Ones will be granted.
When the Whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but you will be secure forever.
He who has ears to hear, hear what The Spirit is saying. The Winds of change are blowing across the whole earth.
The proud boastings and the song of the dread oppressors has blighted the world like a spell of evil; but this also shall be brought low, and hushed in Holy Silence.
Suddenly, what I have said, that I will bring about — what I have planned, that I will do!”
EAGLE : Eagles have always symbolized freedom, strength, and power. They are considered the kings of the sky. Eagles can fly higher and see farther than any other bird. Spiritual eagles are the same way. They see things from a heavenly perspective and have keen vision and insight. Eagles in the Bible represent swiftness of flight (Deuteronomy 28:49 ; 2 Samuel 1:23), mounting high in the air ( Job 39:27 ), strength ( Psalm 103:5 ), setting its nest in high places (Jeremiah 49:16 ), and power of vision ( Job 39:27-30 ).
“Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.” Acts 2:2.
“What the wicked man dreads will overtake him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. When the whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure forever.” Proverbs 10:24-25.
“They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” Isaiah 40:31.
“From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill My purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.” Isaiah 46:11.
“For You have been a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy person in his distress, a refuge from the rain, a shade from the heat. When the breath of the violent is like rain against a wall, like heat in a dry land, You subdue the uproar of barbarians. As the shade of a cloud cools the heat of the day, so He silences the song of the violent.” Isaiah 25:4-5.
“Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 3:5-8.
“He found him in a desert land, in a barren, howling wilderness; He surrounded him, He instructed him, He guarded him as the apple of His eye. As an eagle stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, He spread His wings to catch them and carried them on His pinions. The LORD alone led him, and no foreign god was with him.” Deuteronomy 32:10.
