FAITH is a gift from God to all men.

Some prominent men and women of his world have put their Faith into practice, and believed, and done great things for mankind. This is natural FAITH.

But in actuality, there are TWO TYPES of faith: Natural and Scriptural (Biblical).

A person who has been born again has both natural and scriptural Faith.

The natural man does not have scriptural Faith, because he is not born of God.

So, how does someone get the FAITH he needs to be saved and live for God, and, do great things for the Kingdom?

“So then faith cometh by … Hearing and hearing by the word of God,” Romans 10:17.

Now, I also want you to notice another verse important to the one above:

“Without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Hod must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him,” Hebrews 11:6.

If it is impossible to please Him without Faith, which means we must have it, because He requires it — then how do we get it?

Faith, comes by hearing, and hearing by The Word of God!

For example, how does someone come to know Jesus as their Savior?

Where does the faith come from to believe and be saved and be born again?

“But what SAITH it? The WORD is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the WORD OF FAITH, which we PREACH; that if thou shalt CONFESS with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth CONFESSION is made unto salvation….
…. For whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they CALL on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not HEARD? and how shall they HEAR without a PREACHER?” Romans 10:8-10,13-14. emphasis added.

So, how do you get saved? FAITH cometh by HEARING and HEARING by the WORD OF GOD.

In the above verses it says salvation comes from trusting in Christ, it is what we PREACH and it is near to you, within reach of each one of us, even as near as your own mouth and heart.

If you TELL others with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and they believe in their own heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead they will be saved.

The GOSPEL is the power of God unto Salvation for everyone who believes.

Healing works in a similar way:

“And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus SAITH UNTO THEM, BELIEVE ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your FAITH be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.” Matthew 10:27-31 emphasis added.

How do you get healed?

The same way you get saved, By FAITH, and FAITH cometh by HEARING and HEARING by the Word of God.

Faith to receive any of God’s promises comes from HEARING His Word.

The Word of God builds confidence in us to believe God and what he has done and is doing for us.

FAITH must be built.

Faith to be saved is just the beginning.

FAITH has to be built up, like Lego building blocks, through his WORD, line upon line and precept upon precept into a mature man.

After we are saved, growth in our relationship with him comes from our communing with him in prayer and reading and CONFESSING his WORD.

If we need to be in the WORD OF GOD to build FAITH, and since He said that’s the way to get FAITH, and that it’s impossible to please him apart from FAITH, then we have no excuse for lack of FAITH.

Every time I go to The Word of God to read and study it I am encouraged and strengthened, and my Faith is bolstered and I know God is with me and for me.

I have also learned by experience that my Faith grows dull without being in The Word.

So, if you want to grow deeper in your relationship with God, then get in His Word — and watch your Faith increase and abound!
