Famine in the Eye — Spiritual Blindness
Spiritual Blindness
“A storm is coming (famine in the Word of God).
My People need to hear truth that satisfies the soul.
I see less appetite for The Gospel — while Satan is begging people to sin.
For too long, man has appeased the flesh.
I AM fleshing out — calling out — flesh and gutting it open like a fish.
I AM removing guts (Compromise, procrastination, lies, envy, looking the other way, and general crimes in the spirit – rebellion).
Children these things confuse your taste buds.
Man has numbed himself to taste. Even though the outward appearance taste is disastrous, people believe the bitterness makes them look better on the outside.”
“O taste and see that The LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8 (KJV)
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek The LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” Hosea 10:12 (KJV)
“Children you are focusing too much on outward appearances.”
“But The LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but The LORD looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.” Matthew 23:27 (KJV)
“The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:11-12 (KJV)
“Too much energy is spent on outward composition.
Most assuredly, assumptions are made without wisdom or discernment. The eyes are starving for truth!”
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:16-17 (KJV)
“Do you stop to examine a man’s heart before predicting his entire future?
I tell you these things are unfair, unfruitful, and profitable.”
“For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” 2 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)
“Many may not have heard the Gospel message of John the Baptist — if they focused merely on outward appearance.”
“In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, and saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of The LORD, make his paths straight.
And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, and were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:1-12 (KJV)
“Eyes need the nutrition of faith — otherwise they experience famine.”
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.” Mark 10:45-52 (KJV)
My Thoughts
I am not capable of looking at an outward appearance of a person and decide their salvation.
Can we accurately determine a person’s culture, race, creed, or ethnicity by looking at skin color?
The LORD is telling us to look at heart color and temperature. A man’s motives surely shows what lives in the heart.
The soulish realm has little or no effect on hair color and texture. It focuses on belonging.
Everything God created fits into a category. All souls have a beginning and ending.
Although, man does not have the lock and key on beginnings — certainly he has great input on endings.
Many times a person’s outward appearance does not match their inward determination.
How do you see this statement, “We are what we eat”?
Physical food has a lot to do with health and healing of the human body. The LORD plainly tells us about food.
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:1-4 (KJV)
Life must have a consistence balance. Remember God is not going to judge us by fat or skinny, nationality, age, income, political status, friends and relationships, or anything more important than His word.
“For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” Ecclesiastes 7:20 (KJV)
“Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?” Job 4:17 (KJV)
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9 (KJV)
Look nice, comb hair, brush teeth, and certainly take baths. The LORD will not refuse the person with stinky breath entrance into Heaven.
However, these things might hinder open doors in Heaven:
“These six things doth The LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)
The LORD is warning us about human conduct.
Our eyes are busy focusing on what we see (outward appearance- which starves the eye).
Keep in mind that The LORD sees all and He judges on “All”.
Do not starve the eye of truth.
“Knowing that he which raised up The LORD Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:14-18 (KJV)

Sherry,
Lord teach us to feed our eyes truth and not be spellbound by outward appearance.
Good solid nutrition of the word balanced out, sis. God bless you.
