Originally from 2014, posted two or three times over the years, last time in 2019 I think, but never updated until now, The LORD is prompting me to bring this forward eleven years into the present time of 2025.

For Such a Time as This

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.
And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?“ Esther 4:14.

Let me rephrase this for today……

“For if you remain silent at this time, Renewal and Revival will arise from another place, and you and your Church will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your position for such a time as this?“

In these troubled times, we are acutely aware that we are in the Biblically prophesied ‘End Times’.

Strange weather — storms — I hesitate to remind you that US President Donald Trump said, “I AM the storm”^* — hurricanes, cyclones, snow storms and the like; earthquakes more common each day; strange new diseases –– many vaccine induced — all prophesied as “the earth groaning as in childbirth” in relation to the coming of the end times.

Wars, rumours of wars, political and spiritual warfare, lies, jealousy, persecution and so on.

Troubled times indeed!

With all this activity going on, I get the impression we are like Elijah in 1 Kings 19,

“The LORD said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of The LORD, for The LORD is about to pass by.’ Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before The LORD, but The LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but The LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but The LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’” 1 Kings 19:11-14.

What are we doing here, wherever we are, for the Kingdom of God?

If we are not here for such a time as this, then who is?

What are we here for at all?

If we are not in the position we are, with the people we are with, doing what we are doing, if not for such a time as this?

Have we grown so complacent that it is still “somebody else’s job — not mine”?

Have we grown so smug in our self-righteousness that we have lost sight of the fact that there are millions of others as yet un-saved?

We have the consummate privilege of being part of God’s end time remnant army — whatever else we may think.

We have none of us arrived where we are by chance. God, in His infinite mercy and wisdom, has placed each and every one of us just where we are for such a time as this.

But what is “such a time as this”?

We are in “the end times.” We don’t know when Jesus will come for His Bride, but we do know there is a great ‘final harvest’ of souls, revival, to be won.

What are we doing here — if we are not on Kingdom business, doing Kingdom work for the Kingdom plans of the KING?

What are you doing here Elijah?

Yes — what are we doing here?

Evangelists tell us that people, particularly young people, are hungry for something other than what they see every day.

It’s the time of Amos 8,

“The time is surely coming,” says the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine on the land—not a famine of bread or water but of hearing the words of The LORD. People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from border to border searching for the word of The LORD but they will not find it. Beautiful girls and strong young men will grow faint in that day, thirsting for The LORD’s Word.” Amos 8:11-13.

If we want the biblically prophesied ‘end time’ revival, then surely this is the moment for us to work with The LORD to bring it into being?

This is NOT somebody else’s job, but ours!

This is The LORD’s Call to all of us — “All hands on deck. Every man, woman, and child to your station. BATTLE STATIONS!”

For such a time as this indeed!
