Get God’s Attention

First, do you need to get God’s attention?

People will say you do not need to because God loves everyone and He is always paying attention to you. And that is true.

However, why do we see certain people get more attention from God than others?

For example, on the mount of transfiguration, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John, but does not take the other disciples.

And why does John say he is the favorite of Jesus?

So, we see Jesus gives everyone attention, but you can get more attention from Him.

How do you get God’s attention?

Let’s look at Zacchaeus in the Book of Luke 19 says:

“So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.” Luke 19:4.

We then see Jesus saw him and went with him to his house where he received salvation.

Jesus chose Zacchaeus although the street was packed with people on both sides. Zacchaeus received the attention of God.

So to get God’s attention, Jesus simply says: “If you run after Me, I will pick you out of the crowd and do miracles in your life!”

And other than the miracle of Salvation what other miraculous things did Zacchaeus receive?

He received Wisdom, Knowledge, Compassion, and Encouragement from God in his own home. Something we all need — and that is priceless!

And as Jesus said to me, “If you want big things done in your life, this is what you do, this is the secret — run after Me with all of your heart!”
