Let us Reason together
The first snow has arrived and the scenery of Autumn’s barrenness is covered in a fluffy white blanket and is now transformed into a scene of great beauty.
The trees that were bare of leaves are now frosted, and everything of nature and of man is now buried beneath a sparking wave of white. Talk about a makeover… it is now a Winter Wonderland!
For many there was a time when their soul was like a landscape scorched by the sun and burned by a sweeping fire. All that remained was a few pitiful smoking trees and the charred remains of a life without hope. The price of sin is high and it destroys the work of the creator in us all. It robs us of everything that is meaningful and strips us of our dignity.
Our lives become desperate as we scramble to find meaning. It is in this place of despair that the voice of the Lord whispers to our heart a message of hope and life.
“Come now, and let us reason (talk it out) together; though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as the snow.”
What can change the discouraged and dying heart of a life marked by sin? My life changed when I said, “Yes,” to God. It was a reasonable choice — a glorious opportunity — a chance to see the ugliness that was my life, transformed as God covered my sin with a blanket of forgiveness.
The heart that was once aching and cold was now a wonderland… a thing of beauty… a pure as the driven snow. Your’s can be too…. Ask Him to clean away the darkness, the bitterness, the loss. I know He will.
