My Soul Silently Waits for God
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
My Soul Silently Waits for God
Truly, my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my Salvation.
My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God
And I have heard this, too:
“Be still and know that I AM God.”
I shall wait for the Salvation of my God
And I shall wait for His Counsel
I shall seek His Face
And calmly wait upon Him,
My arm outstretched to His
Oh I know I need Him—
For without I am lost in the dark
Exposed to the enemy
I place my life in His Hands
Waiting for His Promises
And in His Perfect Timing they will surely manifest
For He is not a man that would lie
So I shall hold on to every Word He gives!
Oh yeah…yeah…
Without doubt
In child-like faith
I come to Him expecting
My someday is today!
Oh I’m giving Him all my faith!
No matter how difficult it has been
No matter how long it has been
I’m holding on to Him and His Promises!
Again I say,
I trust in Him at all times
I pour my heart out before Him
My God is my Rock and Salvation
And I shall not be greatly moved!
Oh yeah…yeah…
Truly, my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my Salvation.
My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God
And I have heard this, too:
“Be still and know that I AM God.”
Oh yeah..yeah…
“Be still and know that I AM God.”
Oh yeah,
Be still my soul
And silently wait for God
Be still my soul
And silently wait for God
Be still, be still, be still
And silently wait for God….
For the power belongs to God….
“Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. How long will you attack a man?You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his high position; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, But they curse inwardly. Selah My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him;God is a refuge for us. Selah Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor. Do not trust in oppression,Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them. God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God. Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.” Psalm 62:1-12 NKJV.
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10 NKJV.
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NKJV.
“Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” Psalm 27:14 NKJV.
